This Martial Venerable had not been placed under any restrictions. Every member of the Martial Cultivator Association had simply told him: Go.
He knew perfectly well that even if he refused, he was doomed to die—and suffer social ruin beforehand.
He might as well make the trip. Perhaps he could still fight for a chance to live.
He had intended to explain his reasoning—at the very least, I originally planned to take you away for questioning.
But Feng Jun had no intention of speaking to him at all. He merely glanced at him. "Take your own life."
The Martial Venerable froze, then tried to argue. "I never intended to kill you."
Feng Jun gave him an indifferent look. "Say one more word, and I'll kill your entire family!"
In the dictionary of the strong, weakness was the original sin. Back then, the other side had not given him a chance to explain either.
"That's unfair!" the Martial Venerable cried desperately. "I really didn't intend to kill you!"
He was telling the truth. If the Martial Cultivator Association had been certain that Feng Jun was the one who had killed the old woman, they would only have handed him over to the Wizards' Association.
Feng Jun raised a hand, and a blaze pierced straight through the man's skull.
"Someone actually refused to believe it," he said, shaking his head dismissively before asking coldly, "Who can kill his whole family for me?"
He suddenly realized that borrowing the strength of this world's natives could effectively divide and break apart his enemies.
"My lord," a young man spoke up, "Martial Venerable Roy is unmarried."
"Unmarried?" Feng Jun was startled. No wonder the man was not afraid of his family being slaughtered. "No parents? No lover, perhaps?"
"Roy is an orphan," another person answered.
