The patrol officers were no fools. They knew there was more to this than met the eye; it definitely was not a simple robbery.
For the moment, everyone set that aside. One patrol officer looked at the rebar on the ground. "Is this the weapon you used just now?"
"That's not the right way to put it." Feng Jun's face darkened as he spoke in a low voice. "I was acting in self-defense. This isn't a weapon."
The patrol officer waved a hand impatiently. "Whether it was self-defense isn't for you to decide."
"They had more than one knife on them." Feng Jun pointed at Brother Hong and shouted, "They had knives. Was I supposed to block them with my chest?"
The two knives Brother Hong's group had brought were already in the patrol officers' hands. They had wanted to throw them away, but when would they have had the chance?
Both small knives had sharpened edges and blood grooves. They were absolutely lethal weapons.
That matter could be set aside for now as well. Another patrol officer spoke up. "Your weapon... where did this iron bar come from?"
"I picked it up off the ground," Feng Jun answered bluntly, then pointed at the ground. "There was one lying there when I came in."
"Isn't that bullshit?" The patrol officer could not take it anymore. Did he think they were idiots? "If such a long piece of rebar had really been lying here, do you think the scrap collectors wouldn't have seen it?"
Feng Jun spread his hands and answered shamelessly, "You'd have to ask the scrap collectors. I don't know."
The patrol officers could see it now. Whether they were the ones doing the beating or getting beaten, neither side was made up of decent people.
