The Liao brothers had no idea they had already been discovered and continued forward cautiously.
But after walking for a while, they could go no farther. Elder Liao stopped, even backing up more than ten paces.
He was highly sensitive to auras and spoke in a low voice. "Cultivators... there are many of them."
The cultivators he meant were naturally immortal cultivators. Martial Cultivation practitioners... could they even be called cultivators?
At a time like this, Second Liao would not argue with his elder brother. He quietly retreated as well, going even farther back.
The brothers exchanged a glance, then silently withdrew for over a mile before quickening their pace and retreating another four or five miles.
They found a small grove and hid within it, still somewhat shaken as they stared at the brightly lit area.
After a long while, Elder Liao muttered, "Why are there so many cultivators here? Could there be some reason for it?"
When immortal cultivators met in the Mortal World, it was not necessarily a good thing. It was not much safer than meeting in the wilderness.
Second Liao was thinking of something else. "Whatever the reason, there's an eighty or ninety percent chance... the Gu King is here."
"Maybe it was moved elsewhere," Elder Liao instinctively argued with his younger brother. "We can sense the Gu King even through a Spirit Beast Bag."
"Who said it had to be moved?" Second Liao argued back. "Maybe it died... Once we find out, we can head back."
"I won't argue with an idiot like you!" Elder Liao declared arrogantly. "Dead or alive, we need to see it. If it's alive, we see the Gu; if it's dead, we see the corpse."
"That should be, 'Alive, see the Gu; dead, see the corpse,'" Second Liao snorted
