In the blink of an eye, dawn broke outside the wooden house, and morning had arrived.
A thin mist curled around the village halfway up the mountain, making it appear and disappear and adding to its air of mystery.
"Why hasn't the Son of God woken up yet?"
Xing Xiangtian muttered as he paced back and forth beside the bed.
Xing Xiu'er sat in a chair nearby, her brows knitted together. "Can't you sit still for once? What are you so worked up about?"
Xing Xiangtian gave an awkward laugh. "I'm just worried I might've accidentally hurt the Son of God's mind, and that's why he hasn't woken up."
He'd only wanted to let the Son of God get a good night's sleep, but several hours had already passed.
"Enough, I'm sick of this. Where's that lawless side of you from before? Why are you so cautious now?" Xing Xiu'er rolled her red eyes and teased him.
Xing Xiangtian rubbed the back of his head and chuckled sheepishly. "Well, he's the Son of God. It's different, it's different..."
Watching her husband act so foolishly, Xing Xiu'er pursed her lips and shook her head, as if wondering how she'd ever chosen him.
"You'd be better off thinking about whether we should hide the fact that we know the Son of God is descended from a god when he wakes up..."
Hide it? They might manage for a short while, but sooner or later it would come out.
If they didn't hide it, would the Son of God get angry that Xiangtian had used Fall Asleep, Dream Induction, and Dream Observation on him?
Xing Xiu'er thought it over carefully.
"That is a problem..." Xing Xiangtian folded his arms and lowered his head in thought. Her reminder had made him realize it, too.
