Background / History

Xiao Nai was Zheng Li's fiancée in his original world. She died in a car accident on the third day after Zheng Li disappeared, then later regained awareness and found herself reunited with him in the Douluo world as his Martial Soul. 4

Her new form was initially treated as a manifestation of Zheng Li's memories, but Xiao Nai retained her own consciousness, memories, and personality. After Zheng Li explained the Douluo world and its plot to her, she immediately encouraged him to secure useful resources while prioritizing their survival. 4

The Valley of Love and Emotion attempted to forge her a physical body, but failed because the power hidden within her origin was too great for an ordinary form. Zheng Li later learns that reshaping her body requires a Super Divine Tool or an equivalent existence. 44

During the battle against the Evil Soul Masters, a tiny parasitic insect struck Xiao Nai instead of Zheng Li and caused her soul to begin dissipating. She sacrificed herself as one of Zheng Li's spiritual shields, leaving him unconscious with grief. 112 113 Zheng Li eventually restores her soul by absorbing power from the Water God's trial grounds, reuniting with her in his Sea of Consciousness. 145

Appearance

Xiao Nai's Martial Soul form differs from Zheng Li's memories of her original appearance. Her shoulder-length black hair becomes waist-length white hair, while her eyes become blue. She wears a white gown patterned in gold, with a massive golden ring floating behind her head. 3
