The old man in dark robes strolled through the pavilion. On either side of him stood rows upon rows of massive storage shelves, dozens of zhang tall and stretching for hundreds of zhang. Within the divided compartments rested light spheres of varying shapes, with the names of every Gongsun Family member who had broken through to Dou Zong inscribed before them.
Some shone brightly, while others were dim. Some had even shattered, giving off lights of different forms.
The old man's pace was neither hurried nor slow. The distance of every step was nearly identical, as precise as a machine.
At last, the old man stopped before a row of shelves marked with the Seven-Colored Auspicious Cloud Pattern.
His pitch-black eyes, as though formed from congealed ink, slowly rose until they found a shattered light sphere in one spot.
"Truly no peace of mind for me." The old man's voice was as calm as an ancient pool. "That outsider called Su has joined in the foolishness as well, without the slightest sense of propriety."
His body slowly floated into the air, drifting before the light sphere. He raised a hand and pressed it against the black-and-white knot of light above it.
"Buzz~"
The fragments floated up one after another, continuously gathering and taking shape in the old man's hand. In just over a dozen breaths, they had returned to being a transparent sphere of light.
The old man guided the black-and-white light mass and slowly injected it into the transparent sphere before placing it back where it belonged.
After finishing, he slowly shook his head. His voice remained calm, yet it carried a trace of malicious amusement. "That boy Gongsun Lin will surely go mad when he sees this. When that time comes, I'll lock
