The Thunder God Court

"Strange. There's actually a Lowgod on this island too. When did she break through?"

High above, amid the lightning, the bald young man and his companions were a little surprised by Milia's presence.

Since Milia had become a god in the Plane Secret Room, the Laws of Heaven and Earth had only descended there. So the three hadn't learned of her ascension right away.

"Two Lowgods together. Things have gotten a little tricky. What do you say—should we just go straight over?" Amid the lightning, the bald young man still sounded completely unconcerned.

"Two Lowgods, and one of them only just broke through. What's there to be afraid of?" The last member of the trio was a burly man with wine-red hair. His voice was domineering.

"Heh, I was just asking. Come on, let's go meet these two." The bald young man chuckled. The strange lightning dispersed, revealing the three of them.

Meanwhile, Luo Ya and Milia were delighted to meet Karen and his wife again.

Seeing the two arrive together so unexpectedly, Karen and his wife were surprised and were just about to speak.

But then Luo Ya and Milia's expressions suddenly changed. They had both sensed three unrestrained waves of divine consciousness!

"There!"

Everyone looked toward the distant horizon, where three indistinct phantoms were flying toward them at incredible speed.

Even before the newcomers drew near, the powerful surges of divine power left Karen and his wife shaken.

"God-level experts!"

Karen and Gailina's expressions changed instantly. The three God-level experts were clearly coming straight for them, and they didn't look like they had come in peace!

"Who are they?" Milia asked, puzzled, while already taking two crescent-shaped weapons from her Spatial Ring. A cold gleam shimmered in her hands.

"I'm not sure." Luo Ya was just as bewildered.

The only God-level experts he had encountered on the continent before were Laura, the Plane Overseer, and Nilo, who had only recently become a god. He didn't recognize any of these three.

The three phantoms swept over the grass and abruptly stopped, revealing a brown-haired old man, a burly man with wine-red hair, and a bald young man.

The bald young man, whose features were strangely sinister, stepped out ahead of the others. He smiled down at them and called out, "You're both here. That works out nicely. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Qinuo. We've come today to invite you both to join the Thunder God Court."

The area around the grass fell silent.

Though these three unfamiliar God-level experts sounded as if they were extending an invitation, their condescending gazes made it clear they considered themselves superior. Karen and his wife were right there, yet the newcomers ignored them entirely.

Clearly, Saint Realm experts didn't even merit their attention. They were nothing more than air to them.

"The Thunder God Court?"

There were three major religious courts on the Western Continent, and the most powerful was the Thunder God Court!

The reason was simple: the Thunder God, ruler of the Western Continent, stood behind it.

"Did the Thunder God send you?" Luo Ya asked, frowning slightly. He didn't take the three seriously.

The three were no threat to him. Even if the Thunder God himself came, he still wouldn't be a match for Luo Ya.

"Impudent! How dare you show disrespect to Lord Thunder God!" The brown-haired old man immediately jumped in to rebuke Luo Ya.

"Joining the Thunder God Court is your best choice right now," the red-haired giant added, his voice rumbling.

The giant looked to be in his thirties. He had thick eyebrows and long wine-red hair that fell to his waist. Now, flames were burning in his hair, and an overwhelmingly domineering aura of fire-attribute divine power radiated from him.

"You two won't refuse our invitation, will you?" Qinuo, the bald young man, sounded friendly enough, but the lightning glinting in his eyes was razor-sharp.

The combined pressure of three God-level experts made Karen and his wife turn pale.

"W-what's going on?" Gailina panicked.

"Luo Ya, why don't we accept for now and see what happens?" Karen quickly came up with a suggestion.

A wise man didn't fight when the odds were against him. Joining a religious faction was no big deal; they could agree for now. There was no need to start a fight over something so trivial.

"I'd like to ask: if we join the Thunder God Court, what would we have to do?" Luo Ya looked at the three with calm indifference, as if he were looking at three corpses.

Join the Thunder God Court? He had no interest.

But he wanted to hear what these three were really after.

As Karen had said, joining a religious faction was no big deal in itself. He had even been something of an official member of the Dark Church before.

And these three had made such a show of coming here. Surely they weren't here just for something so unimportant.

"What would you have to do? Just take care of little things, like spreading faith in Lord Thunder God's name. Most of the time, you wouldn't have to do anything," Qinuo replied promptly. He seemed to be the mildest-tempered of the three.

"Joining Lord Thunder God's ranks will also earn you plenty of guidance in your cultivation. It's your good fortune!" the brown-haired old man added in a shrill voice.

"There's only one thing you need to do: come with us to Thunder Sacred Mountain and pay your respects to Lord Thunder God." The red-haired giant finally revealed their true purpose.

"Come with you to Thunder Sacred Mountain? And what if I refuse?" At Luo Ya's 'provocative' words, the three narrowed their eyes and spread out in a triangular formation, blocking his 'escape route.'

"Refuse? That's not up to you!" The brown-haired old man let out a shrill, mocking laugh.

"There was a fool named Nilo who said the same thing. Do you know what happened to him?" Qinuo gave a mysterious smile and tossed a Black Crystal into the air.

The Black Crystal gleamed with a strange blue-green light in the sunlight.

"A Godhead?" Though Luo Ya had never seen one with this kind of attribute, he guessed that it must be Nilo's Godhead.

It was an unmistakable threat!

Refuse, and you die!

"Obey and prosper; defy and perish. What a domineering Thunder God Court!" Luo Ya had heard before how overbearing the Thunder God Court's doctrines were.

But he hadn't expected the Thunder God Court's ruler to be even more overbearing!

"I'll give you one more chance to choose your words. Think carefully before you answer!" The red-haired giant's face was as cold as rock, and a trace of impatience showed in his eyes.

"Think carefully before I answer? The three of you think you're worthy?" Luo Ya looked at them with amusement.

"Good! Two more fools!"
