"Hmm? I'm not hurt?" Bebe asked in confusion. Then he noticed Hodan standing in front of him.
"Mr. Hodan?" Linley immediately rushed to Bebe's side, forgetting everything else. Bebe, too, stared in disbelief at the tree roots Hodan had caught. They were clearly roots of the Nether Fruit Tree.
"Hodan?" Hearing Linley address him, Bebe finally recognized Hodan's face.
Bebe hurriedly pulled Linley aside and stood in front of him, warily watching Hodan.
Bebe hadn't forgotten that his grandfather's Darkness God Clone had died because of Hodan. Back then, Hodan had held him in his hand like a dead dog. He'd also been forced to swear a Supreme Oath not to attack the Eight Great Clans unless they provoked him first.
Bebe was no longer the ignorant boy who'd relied on his exceptional physical defenses and thought he could do anything. He now understood all too well the weight behind the name Hodan.
"That's enough. They killed your daughter, but there's no need to kill them too." A deep voice came from within the Nether Fruit Tree.
A gigantic face began to appear on the tree's trunk, gazing at Linley and Bebe.
"What's this?"
Linley and Bebe both felt the powerful aura.
"A Sovereign!" The Golden Serpent and Silver Nine-Headed Serpent didn't pay Hodan any mind. Desperate for revenge, they immediately turned toward the Nether Fruit Tree and cried, "Sovereign, they killed our daughter! You can't let them get away with it!"
