Hodan spread the five fingers of his right hand, forming a fist with one hand and an open palm with the other.

Bang!

Fist and palm collided. Hodan steadily received Hermes's punch, but the point where their fists and palms met trembled violently. Then space itself shattered, leaving a terrifying hole in the Plane Battlefield. A dreadful suction force sought to banish everything nearby into Spatial Turbulence.

Seeing this, Hermes could not bother continuing to grapple with Hodan. He kicked off the ground and retreated, escaping the range of the suction. He was not a Paragon and lacked Willpower; he could not withstand the devouring force of a spatial rift.

Yet Hodan did not move at all. He remained standing where he was, utterly unaffected by the spatial rift. Under the workings of the laws of heaven and earth, the rift slowly healed.

"Hermes?" Hodan phrased it as a question, but his tone was incomparably certain.

"Hahaha! You know the name Hermes, yet you still don't run?" Hermes laughed madly.

"If you ran, I really would have no way to deal with you. But since you can take one blow from me, you can be considered a rare expert. I, Hermes, permit you to state your name," Hermes said arrogantly.

Looking at the blockhead before him, Hodan was speechless. Had this fellow trained in the Laws of Earth until he had become completely one-track-minded?

Couldn't he see that Hodan had stood beside a spatial rift without suffering anything at all? This was clearly not strength a commander could possess.

Still, Hermes truly did possess the strength to be arrogant. When the Terrestrial Divine Plane had first been established, a small golden mountain had been born. After being nurtured for countless years, that golden mountain had actually transformed into life itself—Hermes.
