"I never expected the fusion of my Four Rules' powers to defy all logic!" Hodan exclaimed.
In the original story, when Linley fused the four Highgod powers of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind, they became a pure black Fused Divine Power. It was ten times more powerful than Sovereign's Might and could strengthen Linley's body to the level of a Sovereign Artifact.
Most importantly, it didn't take much power and could be produced continuously.
But in Hodan's case, he had to exhaust all the divine power he had stored up just to fuse a tiny wisp of pale yellow mist.
Hodan could only sigh that different people really did have different fates.
But no one else was to blame. This was a never-before-seen mutation involving the Four Rules. His situation was nothing like the one in the book; Hodan had embarked on a completely different path.
Only Hodan could discover what lay ahead by walking it himself. He would have to figure everything out on his own.
Fortunately, Hodan had gained something from it. Although his divine power was completely spent, his body had grown stronger by a tenth during that brief moment.
A tenth on top of what he already had!
What did that mean? Hodan's body had already reached the level of a Sovereign Artifact, and now it had improved by another tenth.
His body was now a whole level above a Sovereign Artifact. He still couldn't crush one outright, but this had happened in the space of a mere instant.
If he kept accumulating this enhancement over time, crushing Sovereign Artifacts would eventually be no problem. He might even reach the level of a Supreme Artifact. A fiery light gleamed in Hodan's eyes.
"The only problem is that it consumes far too much divine power!" Hodan sighed.
