Sovereign's Might

"You can't escape." When Adam saw Alex trying to avoid the fight, clearly hoping to wait until their Divine Clones left them weakened, he couldn't possibly let Alex get his way.

"Ice-Sealing Heaven and Earth!" Adam transformed into his divine beast form too. His true form was a water-aspected divine beast, a Jade Cold Toad, and he immediately unleashed its innate divine ability—I​ce-Sealing Heaven and Earth.

The space itself froze solid.

Seeing Adam transform into a Jade Cold Toad, Hodan understood why the three of them had been so determined to defend the Black Water Tribe. Apart from the wealth Black Water provided, cultivating in it greatly increased Adam's cultivation speed. Black Water's extreme cold was perfectly suited to the Jade Cold Toad, accelerating the fusion of Adam's Mysteries. He could gain both wealth and strength. Even Hodan wouldn't have given it up easily.

A fiery-red sword beam, a sky-blue spear, and a pitch-black battle blade that seemed to corrode all things. The three Seven-Star Fiends unleashed their full-strength attacks. Across the primeval land, which had existed for countless years, houses and towering trees crumbled into dust wherever the attacks passed, and the earth itself caved in.

Three full-strength attacks at the Seven-Star Fiend level. With the space around Alex frozen, he had nowhere to run.

Alex sensed death drawing near, but he didn't panic. He gritted his teeth, and a dark-gray glow appeared around his body—Destruction Sovereign Power!

Alex actually possessed Sovereign's Might.

With the help of Sovereign's Might, Alex broke free of the Jade Cold Toad's innate divine ability—I​ce-Sealing Heaven and Earth.

In an instant, Alex unleashed his full strength! He was no longer a Seven-Star Fiend. He was a true Asura-level powerhouse. Although Alex had only fused his Mysteries to the Seven-Star level, Sovereign's Might now let him go toe-to-toe with an Asura. His strength was only temporary, sustained by Sovereign's Might, but no one could deny that Alex was now an Asura-level powerhouse.

Adam and the others had never dreamed that Alex would possess Sovereign's Might. A Seven-Star Fiend with Sovereign's Might! That was Sovereign's Might! Even ordinary Prefects and Asura-level powerhouses weren't guaranteed to have it.

Alex actually possessed Sovereign's Might. Heavens! If they had known, they would have simply withdrawn. Wealth mattered, but only if you were alive to spend it.

And there were other ways to improve their strength. They didn't have to stay at the Black Water Tribe. Regret flooded all three of them in that instant.

But Alex wasn't going to let them go. Adam and the others had forced him to waste a drop of Sovereign's Might, a treasure countless people dreamed of possessing. It was meant to save his life, and now he had been forced to use one drop. It was as if Alex had lost a life.

Alex was furious. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became, and he immediately launched a full-strength attack with Sovereign's Might bolstering him.

"Boom!"

"Gravity Shackles!" Alex roared.

At once, the entire earth became like a magnet, dragging Adam and the others down from the sky. The ground rippled like waves. Within a thousand meters, boulders, trees, and several magical beasts instantly crumbled to dust.

Alex's figure blurred. In an instant, he appeared before Henry and cleaved him in two. A surge of Sovereign's Might then reduced Henry's corpse to ash, destroying both his true body and his Divine Clone. Only Henry's Space Ring remained, and Alex took it.

After that, Alex turned to Wot and said, "Doesn't your Heaven-Dominating Ape clan like to overpower others with brute force? Today, I'll let you taste what it's like to be crushed by Sovereign's Might."

With that, Alex surged forward. Sovereign's Might gathered around his right hand, and he swung his blade.

"One Blade Separates the World!"

The blade's light cleaved through the air, opening a spatial rift more than a hundred meters long.

Wot sensed death drawing near too, but the spatial rift's suction slowed his reaction by a fraction. He could only bring out his innate divine ability with all his strength.

He gathered all his divine power into a single, simple strike.

Adam wasn't about to let Alex kill his brother without a fight. He used his own innate divine ability—I​ce-Sealing Heaven and Earth—against Alex. But Alex, empowered by Sovereign's Might, was simply too fast. He dodged Adam's divine ability and struck Adam with an energy attack from his left hand.

A terrifying explosion that shook the soul erupted from the core, where dark-gray mist billowed. The space cracked apart, and violent energy spread rapidly in all directions like rippling water.

Dust filled the air, but the battle was already over. Wot's eyes grew dim, and he collapsed with a crash. He met the same fate as Henry: Alex's attack had shaken him to death.

Adam had also suffered a slight injury from Alex's energy attack. Seeing Alex's overwhelming display of power, he said, "L-Lord Alex, I'm willing to submit to you. Please spare my life."

Sovereign's Might still radiated from Alex as he laughed. "Hahaha! Now you're afraid? Where was that earlier? If you'd left sooner, none of this would have happened. You made me waste a drop of Sovereign's Might, Adam. You can die knowing you were worth it. Now die!" He swung at Adam. Adam raised his spear to block, but Alex's strike still sent him flying as he spat blood.

"Ah!" Under the pressure of death, Adam let out a terrifying howl, as if he had gone mad.

The Jade Cold Toad appeared behind Adam. Since he was going to die anyway, he decided to throw caution to the wind, wring out every last bit of his potential, and land one final blow on Alex.

A sky-blue innate divine ability enveloped Alex. Even with Sovereign's Might, Alex was frozen for an instant by Adam's desperate strike. Adam's spear followed close behind the divine ability, stabbing toward Alex. Even if he was going to die, he wanted to leave a hole in Alex.

For a moment, Alex couldn't break free! Fortunately, Sovereign's Might was still active. The energy barrier formed by a Seven-Star Fiend using Sovereign's Might wasn't something an injured Seven-Star Fiend could break through.

Adam, however, was like a madman. Gripping his spear with both hands, he stabbed wildly at Alex. With death bearing down on him, Adam no longer cared about anything else. Alex, empowered by Sovereign's Might, was on an entirely different level. Adam was a magical beast, and the bloodlust in his bones finally erupted. He was determined to make Alex suffer, even if it cost him his life. He resorted to the most primitive hand-to-hand combat, pinning Alex down despite his overwhelming Sovereign's Might and leaving him no room to strike, let alone attack.

"Get lost!" At last, Alex broke free and kicked Adam away. By then, most of the Sovereign's Might surrounding him had dissipated. Finally, a dark-gray blade of energy tore Adam apart, and the enormous Jade Cold Toad shattered into pieces that scattered across the ground.
