Shack begged Linley to spare Clyde, but there was no way Linley would.

As Linley spoke, his dragon tail tightened its grip.

All sorts of strange cries came from within Clyde's body. He could only groan in agony.
A moment later, his waist was forcibly snapped in two. His spine and other bones broke as well, and only a thin layer of blood-red flesh held him together.
Clyde let out one final scream. Before long, his soul had completely dissipated into the world.
Linley tossed his body in front of Shack and the others, then swept his cold, pale-golden eyes over them. They all trembled with fear, as if countless swords hung over their heads.
"Bebe, let's go."
A streak of black light flew over and landed on Linley's shoulder.
Just as they turned to leave, they had taken only a few steps when six purple-robed figures shot past and appeared around Linley, each taking one of six positions.
Shack and the others hurried away at the sight.
Linley's expression shifted. Six Level 9 experts made him feel a sense of danger.
Still, he was confident that with his speed, he could escape unscathed.
What Linley hadn't expected was for the six men to join forces and perform a combined attack technique. A white hexagram appeared, and a faint curtain of light enveloped Linley, trapping Shack and the others inside as well.
