Galan had no time to be shocked by Salomon and immediately began explaining:
"Those are amethyst beasts. They come out to hunt on the day of the Mist Tide, devouring people everywhere."
"They are immune to soul attacks, and their bodies are incredibly tough. Even Highgods find it difficult to injure them."
"But as long as we make it through today, there will be a peaceful period lasting hundreds of millions of years."
Galan explained everything as briefly as possible. Right now, she and Jarod needed Salomon's help.
"One day?"
Salomon did not know whether he should feel fortunate or furious. In the end, it could only turn into a sigh.
Fortunate that this would last only one day? Or furious that his most precious Sovereign's Might had been wasted on something like this?
However, before they could recover, a cloud of white mist suddenly swept toward them, surrounding them almost in the blink of an eye.
"W-What is this?"
Galan's eyes widened instantly. She had never encountered anything like this before, and for a moment, she froze.
"Roar!"
The next moment, amid countless roars and pounding footsteps, hundreds of amethyst beasts surrounded them.
"Damn it!"
Salomon shielded Nisi behind him, his heart filled with regret.
Had he known this would happen, he would have used Sovereign's Might to kill Ulunisen from the start. How had he ended up in this situation?
Looking at the endless amethyst beasts around them, Salomon felt utterly despairing.
Yet this was not the most terrifying part. The most terrifying part was the harmless-looking amethyst cub standing among the beasts.
"You're the one who used Sovereign's Might just now, aren't you?"
The amethyst cub looked at Salomon, waving its tiny claws with a somewhat cheerful tone.
"My lord, we had no intention of offending you!
