Fugaku took a sip of soup. "So don't entertain any wild fantasies. If the Uchiha Clan rides this wave, it may well flourish even more. But if we keep chasing unrealistic ambitions, we'll only bring about our own destruction."
Mikoto sighed. As his wife, she didn't want her husband getting caught up in all those twists and turns, all that scheming and infighting.
But she was the clan head's wife, and her husband was responsible for leading the clan toward a better future. So all she could do was endure it and support him.
"Konoha can't withstand another war. Peace is the only way forward. Fugaku, the Uchiha Clan helped found Konoha, after all. I don't want it to become a clan everyone curses in the future."

Fugaku patted Mikoto on the shoulder. "Don't worry. I'll deal with those elders in the clan."

"Mikoto, once everything settles down, let's visit the Otherworld. We can see how the Uchiha Clan there gets along with the villagers, and whether they're like us."
