That morning, Ikanser knocked on the lounge door. After Cyril answered, he pushed it open and walked in.
He didn't look too well. His brown hair was more unruly and darker than it had been the day before.
Noticing Cyril's gaze, Ikanser said without much change in his expression:
"I used that Sealed Artifact last night. It did a little more work on my hairstyle."
After a pause, he skipped over the subject and said, "You can go home now. That high-ranking Witch shouldn't show up around you again."
"Of course, you still need to be careful and take basic precautions. If you run into danger, you can come straight to the church for shelter."
"If you don't have time, you can make a noise where you are. The official personnel secretly protecting you will notice."
"Weren't you short-staffed?" Cyril asked curiously.
Ikanser smiled. "The serial killer was taken out last night, and the Roselle Memorial Exhibition at the Royal Museum has ended. We won't need to assign so many people elsewhere anymore."
Cyril was slightly surprised. "The serial murder case is already solved? That's unexpected."
Ikanser's expression stiffened for a moment, then he said with a wry smile:
"You could have a little more confidence in the official Beyonders."
"Uh, that's not what I meant." Cyril hurriedly shook his head and explained, "It's just that the news came a bit suddenly. And didn't yesterday's Roselle Memorial Exhibition draw away some of the Machinery Hivemind's personnel?"
Ikanser raised his chin slightly and chuckled. "The killer thought the same thing."
Cyril nodded lightly and asked no more.
"I think I should pray before the Triangular Sacred Emblem first, to thank the Lord for His mercy and protection. Then I'll go home."
Ikanser nodded, then reminded him, "If you run into danger
