"Master, may I turn it into a zombie?"
"It may be ugly, but its body is strong. It would make a good zombie, and be more durable than an ordinary corpse."
Cyril looked curiously at the Stone Giant lying unconscious on the floor.
"Can Stone Giants be turned into zombies too?"
The zombie controlled by the distorted figure in the Painting Scroll quickly nodded. "Yes. Any corpse that remains intact can be turned."
"To keep its body, which is constructed in such an unusual way, from collapsing, I can't remove the core formed from the Beyonder Characteristic in its body for now."
"Otherwise, it would collapse into a pile of useless stones within minutes."
Cyril nodded. "All right. You can use it."
"Thank you for your generosity and kindness~"
Even the zombie controlled by the Painting Scroll spoke in a slightly higher pitch.
Then, under Cyril's curious gaze, the zombie carried the Painting Scroll over to the unconscious Stone Giant.
The distorted figure on the Painting Scroll pulled a face, and a great deal of black mist poured from its mouth and nose. The mist curled together into a phantom skull and rushed toward the Stone Giant's featureless face.
The phantom skull, steeped in the aura of death, seemed like a messenger dispatched from the Underworld. Life withered wherever it passed.
Even the Stone Giant, whose body was made of countless rocks, began to show signs of weathering and decay.
In Cyril's Spirit Vision, the pale light corresponding to the Stone Giant's ether body rapidly dissipated. The light of Spirituality had almost vanished from its head, as though all life there had been extinguished. Soon, black mist seeped from its body, leaving strange patterns on its granite-like surface, like thorns winding around it, rife with an eerie sense of death
