Pain—excruciating pain all over his body.
That was Wu Biao's first sensation upon waking. His second was hunger.
"Grrrrrr."
The spasms in his stomach made Wu Biao force open his heavy eyelids, only to find himself in an utterly unfamiliar wooden room.
The room was not large and looked rather dilapidated, reeking of dampness. More importantly, the entire room was swaying!
Where was this?
He blinked in confusion, but less than half a second later, Brother Biao tossed that question from his mind. What mattered most right now was... food!
He tried moving his body. It still hurt somewhat, but moving was no problem. Although the hellfire that repaired his body and even his physique were suppressed by this world's laws, Wu Biao's innately formidable vitality was not something the laws could suppress.
Wu Biao climbed straight out of the small bed and staggered over to the door. The moment he pushed it open, brilliant light streamed in—a clear blue sky and a boundless sea.
That also made Brother Biao understand why the tiny shabby room had been swaying so much. It was on a ship.
The ship was enormous. At least, from where Wu Biao stood, he could not see its stern at all.
Of course, that was also because his room was near the bow. Unlike the cabins toward the rear, the room Wu Biao had emerged from was a separate little structure located in a secluded corner on the front right side of the deck. It looked like some kind of storage room.
An odd symbol was painted on the huge sail, looking like a seagull clutching a board in its claws. Beneath it were the words "maying."
"On a ship?" Wu Biao muttered casually, then stopped caring what kind of ship this was, who was aboard
