The trainees from the recruit camp who had been listening closely were all taken aback, faint confusion appearing in their eyes. However, two among them were distinctly different. Their faces had turned cold, their eyes filled with bitter resentment and hatred.
A flash of pain crossed the Marine colonel's terrifying face. "The reason he has a thirty-five million Beli bounty is entirely because of his bloodlust. Since forming his pirate crew, he has committed every imaginable atrocity—burning, killing, looting, and plundering. The wealth of the residents on three islands in West Blue was completely stolen... and not a single person on those islands survived."
"What?"
"Not a single survivor?"
"How could that happen?!"
