But at that critical moment, Blackbeard's pain-suppressed voice came from beneath the rubble. The instant his words fell, a cloud of black mist shot into the sky, rapidly spreading outward from its center, as though a black cloth had been laid across the ground.
Silently swallowing everything.
"Quick, get back!"
Brannew's expression changed drastically, his eyes filled with horror as he led the others in a frantic retreat. Fortunately, the black mist was not limitless. It stopped after covering more than half of the central plaza.
Yet what terrified them most was that Wu Biao's Kannonji-dan had sunk into that black mist without causing the slightest ripple. Brannew and the others watching from the edge could not help but swallow.
None of them dared imagine what would happen if they were swallowed by that black mist as well.
