No matter the city, its outskirts were always sparsely populated, as many monsters gathered in the dark corners beyond the city.
City C was no exception. At that moment, more than a dozen bizarre-looking monsters had gathered in an abandoned factory on the outskirts. Yet something about them was strange—every one of them wore a frightened expression.
Thud, thud, thud—!
Heavy footsteps drew closer. All the monsters raised their heads toward the sound, and the sunlight shining into the abandoned factory was completely blocked by a towering figure.
This was a monster over three meters tall, with a build relatively close to that of a human. However, the four eyes atop its head and its vicious, fanged face made it clear that it was no human.
