Bombshell, NBA Officially Announces Suspension!

The tumultuous offseason was not only marked by the undercurrents of labor negotiations and brand launches; the league's trade market was just as spectacular.

The Summer League had passed in a hurry like an appetizer, and now the real main courses were being served one after another.

The Milwaukee Bucks and the Seattle SuperSonics completed a blockbuster trade. The Bucks sent away their star power forward, "Reign Man II" Vin Baker, acquiring All-Star point guard Terrell Brandon and rugged interior player Tyrone Hill from the SuperSonics.

This trade gave the Bucks the beginnings of their Three Musketeers. Alongside Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson, they now had a dependable floor general.

Another trade that should have happened, however, had been completely thrown off course by the flutter of Li Fei's butterfly wings.

In the original history, the Dallas Mavericks would have acquired Sam Cassell in a trade, forming the offensive core that would later become famous throughout the league alongside Finley, Nash, and Nowitzki.

But now, Cassell wore a Bulls uniform, serving as Jordan's armed guard. Don Nelson could only helplessly search for other pieces, and the Mavericks' path to rise seemed to have become even more treacherous.

The biggest changes came from the Houston Rockets.

After completing that earth-shaking trade with the Bulls, the Rockets did not stop there.

They moved several role players and completely retooled the roster around the three legendary superstars: Olajuwon, Barkley, and Pippen.

An aging "sunset" Big Three, with an average age of over thirty-four, was officially born.

All three Hall of Fame-caliber players were in the twilight of their careers, and their hunger for a championship had reached an unprecedented peak.

For one final push, they were willing to sacrifice everything.
