Ch. 182Center of Attention

Liewen led Hell’s counterattack at the Star River Passage, devastating the Celestial Realm’s forces alongside Buleile and Linley’s six emissaries. The Celestial Realm’s soldiers blasted Liewen into the Spatial Turbulence, while more than five hundred Twelve-Winged God Angels approached the battlefront.

  • Liewen killed a hundred Celestial Realm soldiers and two squads of Twelve-Winged God Angels with his attacks.
  • At a distant mountain, Utrecht and Orloff watched the battle and discussed Liewen’s arrival as a Paragon.
  • The Celestial Realm’s Commander ordered reinforcements from the other passage, while Liewen, three hundred soul-controlled Seven-Star Fiends, and Hell’s soldiers launched a counterattack.
  • Buleile and Linley’s five other emissaries used their Samsara Battle Formation to strike the Twelve-Winged God Angels and evade the Celestial Realm’s attacks.
  • Liewen and the emissaries reduced the angel legion at the passage from six hundred to fewer than two hundred, allowing Hell’s forces to advance.
  • The Celestial Realm’s soldiers blasted Liewen out of the passage and into the Spatial Turbulence as more than five hundred Twelve-Winged God Angels arrived near the battlefront.

Ch. 183The Terror of a Dual-Element Paragon

Liewen returned to the battlefield after using his Innate Divine Ability to escape the Celestial Realm’s attacks, then split into two bodies and attacked the approaching Twelve-Winged God Angels. He halted their advance and turned the battle back in Hell’s favor.

  • Buleile and the other five charged into the Celestial Realm camp while Bell ordered Hell’s forces to advance, but the arriving Twelve-Winged God Angels began to turn the battle against them.
  • Liewen used his Innate Divine Ability to teleport a short distance and return to the battlefield, prompting Utrecht to declare that victory was still uncertain.
  • Liewen split into his original body and Light God Clone, forcing the Celestial Realm soldiers to divide their attacks.
  • Liewen’s two bodies struck the Twelve-Winged God Angel Legion, killing many angels and stopping their advance.

Ch. 184Linley's Transcendence Battle

Hell won the Star River Passage, and Liewen received the Sovereign’s Might Utrecht had promised him. Half a year later, Liewen secretly traveled to the Chaos Sea to watch Linley face Orloff, leaving the outcome of their battle unresolved.

  • Hell’s army routed the Celestial Realm’s forces and won the Star River Passage, while only a few dozen of Hell’s three hundred Seven-Star Fiends survived.
  • Utrecht acknowledged that Liewen had helped prevent the Celestial Realm from winning ten consecutive battles, and Orloff praised the Samsara Battle Formation used by Linley’s six Sovereign’s emissaries.
  • Utrecht gave Liewen the promised Sovereign’s Might and offered to make him a Sovereign’s emissary if he ever wished to join.
  • Liewen returned to Red Lotus Prison and waited for Linley’s battle against Orloff to begin.
  • When Linley and Orloff arrived at the Chaos Sea, Liewen concealed himself underwater and watched from a distance as the two faced each other.

Ch. 185The Thrown Supreme God Sword

Orloff overwhelmed Linley with Beyond Samsara, severely wounding him and knocking away the Supreme Life Sword. As Liewen and Saint Stan raced for the fallen weapon, Liewen unleashed the Mysterious Mist, which effortlessly dissolved Saint Stan’s attack.

  • Orloff used Beyond Samsara to strike Linley, shattering his hands, cutting through his body, and sending the Supreme Life Sword flying.
  • Linley switched to his earth-element Sovereign Clone and fled with his other selves as Orloff pursued him, preparing another strike.
  • The Supreme Life Sword landed near Liewen and Saint Stan, who both rushed toward it while the other Sovereigns watched Linley and Orloff.
  • Saint Stan attacked Liewen, intending to kill him and claim the sword, but Liewen unleashed the Mysterious Mist from his soul.
  • The Mysterious Mist reached Saint Stan and effortlessly melted away his attack.

Ch. 186Witness

Linley transformed into a Hongmeng Body, defeated Orloff, and opened a black hole that released Hongmeng Spiritual Energy into Hell. Liewen began using that energy to expand the world in his palm, where new Material Planes started to form.

  • Liewen used the Mysterious Mist to erase Saint Stan, then took Saint Stan's Supreme Life Sword.
  • Linley killed Bote'er and refined his Inferior Fire Sovereign Spark, bringing all four of his Divine Clones to Inferior Sovereign level.
  • Linley fused the four types of Sovereign's Might, completed his transformation, and shattered Orloff's Fate Overgod Sword with his bare hands.
  • Linley caught up with Orloff and killed him with his Four-Element Law Fusion Sword Intent, creating a black hole that released Hongmeng Spiritual Energy and erased eleven Sovereigns caught in it.
  • The system prompted Liewen to witness Linley's Transcendence, and Liewen's soul-world separated into a sphere he could still control.
  • Liewen sent the sphere into the Hongmeng Spiritual Energy, where it absorbed the energy and began expanding into a world with multiple Material Planes.

Ch. 187Hongmeng

Liewen’s Sphere World absorbed Hongmeng Spiritual Energy and expanded, strengthening his Space-Time Power as he waited for Linley to return. Linley came back with Hongmeng, who recognized Liewen’s Sphere World and began to explain the mysterious thing in his mind.

  • Liewen discovered that the Sphere World had formed ten Material Planes and that its growth had greatly increased the range of his Space-Time Power.
  • Liewen returned to Hell and went to the Skyrite Mountain Range, where he waited with Bebe and the others while the surviving Sovereigns struggled to understand the destruction caused by Hongmeng Spiritual Energy.
  • Bebe and the others mourned Linley because his soul connection had vanished, while Liewen kept quiet about Linley being alive.
  • Hongmeng and Linley appeared before Liewen in the courtyard, and Hongmeng confirmed that he knew about Liewen and his Sphere World.
  • Hongmeng told Liewen that he could not become his third brother until he entered the Hongmeng Space, then asked about the thing in Liewen’s mind that raised his potential.

Ch. 188The Truth About the System

Hongmeng explained to Liewen that the system in his mind was an unfinished Story World, formed from a novel written by someone whose fate could not be determined and brought into the Coiling Dragon Universe by Hongmeng. Linley prepared to travel with Delia and Bebe through the Main Universe and other subsidiary universes, while Liewen took the nineteen Sovereign Sparks Linley entrusted to him.

  • Hongmeng told Liewen that the system was a semi-finished Acquired Hongmeng Spiritual Treasure created from the story Liewen had read in his past life.
  • Hongmeng explained that the Story World developed by matching Linley's growth and absorbing energy as Liewen cultivated, and could eventually become a subsidiary universe.
  • Hongmeng said the Story World had absorbed enough Hongmeng Spiritual Energy to become a subsidiary universe and might finish growing in several tens of thousands of years.
  • Linley gave Liewen nineteen Sovereign Sparks to distribute while he planned to travel through the Main Universe and the other subsidiary universes with Delia, Bebe, and the others.
  • Linley restored the flow of time and departed.

Ch. 190The Ownership of the Sovereign Sparks

Liewen refined Orloff’s Fate and Augusta’s Light Sovereign Sparks, becoming Chief Sovereign of both systems, then gathered the Sovereigns to announce how he would distribute the remaining Sparks. He proposed letting God Realm experts compete for most of them, despite the Sovereigns’ objections.

  • After Linley said he would not interfere much in their affairs, he left the Coiling Dragon Universe with his family and friends to travel through other universes.
  • Liewen arrived in the Celestial Realm and refined Orloff’s Fate High Sovereign Spark, then Augusta’s Light High Sovereign Spark, becoming Chief Sovereign of Fate and Light.
  • The thirteen Sovereigns who discovered Liewen’s transformation bowed to him, and he asked them to notify the Sovereigns of every system for a meeting.
  • The Sovereigns gathered aboard Liewen’s Metal Lifeform and asked where he had obtained the Sovereign Sparks and how he planned to distribute them.
  • Liewen said Linley had given him the Sparks and that he would let God Realm experts compete for most of the remaining seventeen; he argued that the gods deserved a chance to become Sovereigns.

Ch. 191Undercurrents Stirring

Liewen overruled the Sovereigns’ demands and decided that gods could compete for most of the Sovereign Sparks. After the Sovereigns accepted his decision, he gave Golden Wing two Sparks and set out to reward Resjing and Leihong.

  • Liewen rejected the Sovereigns’ objections and said he alone would decide how the Sovereign Sparks were distributed.
  • Utrecht, the Chief Sovereign of Death, and the Chief Sovereign of Life approved Liewen’s plan, and he announced a contest beneath the Heaven-Reaching Tower in a thousand years.
  • Liewen gave the Chief Sovereign of Death a Water Intermediate Sovereign Spark that Linley had asked him to deliver.
  • Liewen gave Golden Wing a Fate Lower Sovereign Spark and a Wind Lower Sovereign Spark.
  • Liewen traveled to Hell’s Amethyst Mountain Range to give Resjing and Leihong a Destruction Lower Sovereign Spark and an Earth Lower Sovereign Spark.

Ch. 192All Preparations Complete

Liewen gave Earth and Destruction Sovereign Sparks to Resjing and Leihong, then prepared a competition in the Celestial Realm where gods could fight to claim twelve more. He left the competition a thousand years away, after Nadis reported that news of the event had reached the major planes.

  • Liewen arrived at the Amethyst Mountain Range and gave Resjing and Leihong an Earth Lower Sovereign Spark and a Destruction Lower Sovereign Spark.
  • Liewen returned to the Celestial Realm and created twelve islands near the Heaven-Reaching Tower, planning to place a Sovereign Spark on each for a chaotic melee.
  • Liewen settled on a central island and, decades later, received Nadis, who reported that the Cloud Sea Army had spread news of the competition across the major planes.
  • Liewen told Nadis she could compete for a Sovereign Spark and considered how Commander-level experts and Paragons from across the planes would gather for the event.

Ch. 193Winds Rise, Clouds Surge

As experts from across the planes gathered beneath the Heaven-Reaching Tower to fight for twelve Sovereign Sparks, Fia sought freedom for the angel race and resolved to compete for a Spark. Near the nine hundred and ninetieth year, Resjing and Leihong arrived to meet Liewen.

  • Bayer, Dunnington, Hankin, and other experts set out for the Celestial Realm, while Hankin vowed that the Augusta Clan would fight for a Light Sovereign Spark.
  • Fia asked Liewen to free the angels and to help sever the other Lords of Light’s control through their Angel Rebirth Pools; Liewen promised freedom if an angel obtained a Sovereign Spark.
  • Fia told the angels that their freedom would remain vulnerable unless one of them became a Sovereign, and some angels chose to stay and fight beside her while others left.
  • Experts streamed to the Heaven-Reaching Tower, and by two hundred years later their numbers exceeded those gathered for any Planar War.
  • Near the nine hundred and ninetieth year, Resjing and Leihong arrived at the small island, and Liewen welcomed them.

Ch. 194Ascension?

Liewen prepared a contest for twelve Sovereign Sparks, drawing God Realm experts and Sovereigns to the islands. He also considered opening an ascension passage from the Coiling Dragon Universe to the Main Universe, and the contest began as Utrecht’s absence raised the Chief Sovereign of Death’s suspicions.

  • Resjing and Liewen discussed the many Paragons gathered and Liewen considered whether powerful figures from the Subsidiary Universe could ascend to the Main Universe.
  • Liewen placed twelve Sovereign Sparks above twelve islands and announced that the contest would begin in ten years.
  • God Realm experts flocked to the islands to choose the Sovereign Spark best suited to them, while Liewen and Resjing discussed how the Paragons might fare against the many Commanders.
  • More God Realm experts and Sovereigns arrived during the next ten years, and the Chief Sovereign of Death told Liewen that Utrecht had changed since the battle between Orloff and Linley and had stayed deep in the Chaos Sea.
  • Liewen withdrew the Sovereign's Might protecting the Sparks, and the God Realm experts surged toward them as the contest began.

Ch. 195Brutal

Liewen and the other Sovereigns watched a brutal battle erupt across the twelve islands as experts fought over the Sovereign Sparks. As the melee thinned the contenders, Mosi reached the Destruction Lower Sovereign Spark, where he had a strong chance to claim it.

  • Liewen and the others observed as Commanders and Paragons fought across the islands, with the Paragons drawing concentrated attacks but surviving with defensive Sovereign Artifacts.
  • Benfield was banished, both of Aiken’s Divine Clones in the battle fell, and Adelia and other supposed Paragons were killed.
  • The slaughter reduced the number of powerful experts, while the islands holding the Darkness-type Middle Sovereign Spark and Destruction Lower Sovereign Spark remained especially chaotic.
  • Mosi avoided competing with Dunnington for the Death-type Sovereign Spark and rushed toward the Destruction Lower Sovereign Spark.

Ch. 196A Slap

Mosi failed to claim the Destruction Sovereign Spark after Lily attacked him, and Brien seized it before Liewen stopped him from taking a second spark. Paragons claimed the Sovereign Sparks on ten more islands, leaving the final island and its Light Lower Sovereign Spark unclaimed, with Hankin as its strongest contender.

  • Lily prevented Mosi from reaching the Destruction Sovereign Spark, and Resjing told Liewen that Lily was Mosi's daughter and had turned against the Blood-Vein Titan clan.
  • Brien killed Mosi, refined the Destruction Sovereign Spark, and became a Sovereign; when he rushed toward the Fire Sovereign Spark, Liewen slapped him into Spatial Turbulence and ordered him to give the others a chance.
  • Wells refined the Darkness Intermediate Sovereign Spark, and the Cloud Moon Sovereign revealed that he was an old contemporary who had vanished into a Material Plane.
  • Palhouse, Bamer, Clementin, Dunnington, Ninisha, and other Paragons claimed the Sovereign Sparks on the remaining islands, including Magnus and Bayer.
  • The Light Lower Sovereign Spark remained on the final island, where Hankin was the strongest person present.

Ch. 197Each Finds Their Place

Fia seized the Light Sovereign Spark after the Twelve-Winged God Angel Legion held Hankin and the other Commanders back. Liewen agreed to help the angels sever the Lords of Light’s ownership of the Angel Rebirth Pool, then waited for his Coiling Dragon Universe to be perfected so he could pursue becoming a Hongmeng Controller.

  • Hankin fought through the remaining Commanders and neared the Sovereign Spark, but Fia and the Twelve-Winged God Angel Legion struck and blocked his advance.
  • Fia sent Emily to take her place in the battle, then rushed to the Sovereign Spark while the angels held off Hankin and the other Commanders.
  • Fia seized the Sovereign Spark, and the Light Lower Sovereign Spark entered her glabella after she dropped blood onto it.
  • The surviving fighters and visiting Sovereigns left after all twelve Sovereign Sparks found owners.
  • Fia thanked Liewen, who agreed to ask the other Lords of Light to sever their ownership of the Angel Rebirth Pool.
  • Liewen waited for his Coiling Dragon Universe to be perfected and planned to establish an Ascension Path after becoming a Hongmeng Controller.

Ch. 198The Eerie Blood Mist

Lena joined a five-star Fiend Mission to destroy Black Soul Castle, where she revealed her Sovereign Artifacts and killed the castle lord, Chloe. A Blood Mist then erupted from the ravine she carved and engulfed everyone, including Lena.

  • Lena joined Rhode and other fiends on a mission to destroy Black Soul Castle, despite rejecting Rhode's advances.
  • Chloe called on a hidden ally, who killed two of the three Six-Star Fiends and drove the remaining fiends to flee.
  • Chloe struck Lena with a Soul Attack, but Lena resisted it and used Sovereign's Might and her light sword to kill him.
  • Lena took Chloe's Interspatial Ring and Godspark as the hidden expert emerged from the castle.
  • A Blood Mist surged from Lena's ravine and caused the guards, fiends, and Seven-Star Fiend to explode, while it also enveloped Lena.

Ch. 199Utrecht's Longing

Utrecht, haunted by Orloff’s final words, searched for Linley and the world beyond the universe. After Holman reported a mysterious blood mist near Black Soul Castle, Utrecht found Lena alive within it, while Liewen traveled to investigate.

  • Utrecht reflected on Orloff’s defeat and became consumed by the possibility of a world beyond the universe.
  • Utrecht searched the planes for Linley but found no trace of him or those close to him.
  • Holman reported that a strange blood mist had killed a Seven-Star Fiend and others near Black Soul Castle.
  • Utrecht sensed the blood mist and discovered Lena lying alive inside it with three Sovereign Artifacts.
  • Lena told Liewen that her true body and Divine Clone had encountered the strange phenomenon, and Liewen took her to Hell.
  • Utrecht arrived outside the blood mist as Liewen reached the same sea region.

Ch. 200A Drop of Blood, the Coiling Dragon Universe Reached Completion

Lena survived the blood mist and gained a body as powerful as a Sovereign Artifact after absorbing the power of a drop of Linley’s blood. Liewen left the blood to Utrecht, then completed the Coiling Dragon Universe within his soul and entered a black hole filled with Hongmeng Spiritual Energy.

  • Liewen and Utrecht found Lena alive after Liewen pulled her true body out of the blood mist, and Lena revealed that her body had reached the level of a Sovereign Artifact.
  • Liewen used Space-Time Power to find a drop of blood beneath the seabed and realized it belonged to Linley and had caused the blood mist.
  • Liewen explained that Lena survived absorbing the blood’s power because of her Sovereign Artifacts and White Tiger lineage, while the other God Realm experts had died.
  • Utrecht asked for the blood, and Liewen left it with him before taking Lena to the Celestial Realm.
  • After another ten thousand years of cultivation, Liewen completed the Coiling Dragon Universe within his soul and began transforming into a Hongmeng Body.
  • Liewen entered Spatial Turbulence, opened a massive black hole, and stepped into the Hongmeng Spiritual Energy pouring from it.

Ch. 201Constructing an Ascension Path

After becoming a First-level Hongmeng Controller, Liewen created his own Main Universe and Subsidiary Universes, then experimented with connecting them through an Ascension Path. After tens of thousands of years of attempts, his Liemeng Universe trembled and stabilized, signaling that he had succeeded.

  • Hongmeng welcomed Liewen as his Third Brother, and Liewen joined him and Linley in Hongmeng Space.
  • Liewen added his soul power to the Hongmeng Golden List and became a First-level Hongmeng Controller.
  • Liewen proposed constructing an Ascension Path and decided to test it with his own universe before trying it in Linley's.
  • Liewen completed his Main Universe and three Subsidiary Universes, fused half his soul with the Main Universe, and forged an Xuanhuang Undying Body.
  • Liewen's first golden passage made the two universes shake, so he erased it and continued experimenting with Hongmeng and Linley.
  • After tens of thousands of years, Liewen's Liemeng Universe trembled and stabilized, and he realized his experiment had worked.

Ch. 202The Fifth Overgod

Liewen established an Ascension Path linking the Coiling Dragon Universe to the Hongmeng Universe and created a fifth Overgod to govern ascension. After defining the requirements and restrictions for ascenders, he sensed that Utrecht had figured something out and went to Hell.

  • Liewen created Ascension Zones in the Subsidiary Universes and the Main Universe, then placed one in the Divine Realm of Hongmeng’s universe.
  • Liewen formed the Ascension Path into the Overgod of Ascension and set Commander-level strength as the threshold for voluntary ascension.
  • Liewen required ascending God Realm experts to possess Soul Golden Cores and ordered their Godsparks reclaimed; ascending Sovereigns also had to surrender their Sovereign Sparks.
  • Liewen barred ascenders from returning to the Coiling Dragon Universe until they became God Kings and warned returning God Kings not to use enough spatial power to shatter it.
  • Liewen sensed that Utrecht had figured something out, dismissed the five Overgods, and went to Hell.
