Pyramid ruins. In the past few days, a work crew had moved in again.

A large amount of lighting equipment made the space deep underground as bright as day.

Wearing a hard hat and holding a hot dog with a bite taken out of it, the supervisor shouted, "Get to work, you lazy bastards."

"Keep your spirits up. A-Train Company is paying you plenty. One day of work here is worth three days outside."

"If you want to drink and chase girls, then work harder."

"Also, don't touch anything you haven't been told to touch. Everything found in this Pyramid belongs to A-Train Company."

"If we catch you bastards trying to stash something away, I'll skin you alive!"

After saying that, the supervisor took a vicious bite of his hot dog, grease spilling everywhere as he chewed.

He picked up a cup of instant coffee beside him and took a sip. Then he looked around and spotted two tall, skinny men pulling down their hard hats as they headed for the exit.

The two men were pale-faced, with dark circles under their eyes. They looked like they had not had a proper night's sleep in days, or perhaps like addicts.

The supervisor set down his cup and shouted, "Hey, you two! What are your names?"

"I've never seen you before."

"Hey, I'm talking to you."

"Security!"

"Security!"

By the time security arrived, the two men had vanished without a trace.

On the highway through the Highlands, a somewhat worn pickup truck traveled at an unhurried pace. The two men who had appeared in the Pyramid earlier were sitting in the cab.

One was a middle-aged man with brown hair and brown eyes. The other was younger, with slightly curly black hair and flat features.
