Ch. 162Shadow Dimension

Martin used the Ancient Demon Shadow’s dark magic to trap and destroy Azu’s clone while Azu left to divert a nuclear bomb into space. The Shadow Dimension spell sent the clone away permanently, and Martin survived at enormous cost as the Ancient Demon Shadow returned to its dimension.

  • Martin engulfed the sinkhole in a Darkness Domain and attacked Azu’s Spirit Form clone with several dark spells, but the clone’s Bio-Field and regeneration held.
  • Azu’s clone struck Martin with Fear Ray, which the Ancient Demon Shadow stopped, while Azu guessed that Martin’s possession had a time limit.
  • Azu diverted the military’s nuclear bomb into outer space, where it detonated harmlessly, and Gwen and Norman Osborn watched in awe.
  • While Azu was away, Martin summoned the chained giant and used Shadow Dimension to turn the clone into a shadow and cast it away permanently.
  • The Darkness Domain vanished, the Ancient Demon Shadow consumed most of Martin’s energy and life force, then returned through the closing dimensional cracks.

Ch. 163Forbidden Magic

Azu and his allies killed the weakened Martin Sink, ending the Multiverse Invasion Event and giving Azu Martin’s items, including the incomplete Darkhold. After reading its spells, Azu went to Hawaii with Lin Aida, while Gwen arranged a new suit and a return flight to New York; Norman Osborn then received a call saying a body had been recovered.

  • Gwen, Norman Osborn, and Doomsday attacked the weakened Martin, while Azu used Knowledge Projection to stun him and destroy his eyes, killing him.
  • The event settlement awarded Azu Honor Tokens, unlocked the Glory Shop, and transferred Martin’s items to him.
  • Azu examined the incomplete Darkhold and learned its spells, including the forbidden Shadow of Chthon and its costs.
  • Azu returned to Hawaii and invited Lin Aida to walk with him on the beach the next morning.
  • Gwen asked Norman Osborn to make her a combat suit and arrange a flight to New York, and Norman agreed.
  • Norman Osborn answered a call from a man who reported that they had recovered the body.

Ch. 164A Wound That Never Heals

After returning from the Amazing Spider-Man universe, Azu reviewed his rewards and the Glory Shop while Gwen began her life as Spider-Man after her father's funeral. The chapter ended with Supersonic being grabbed by a tentacled creature in an underground parking garage.

  • Gwen reunited with her mother and brothers, promised to protect them, and attended George Stacy's funeral, where she comforted Aunt May at Peter Parker's grave.
  • Norman Osborn supplied Gwen with an upgraded suit, and she declared herself Spider-Man before heading toward reports of a strange creature in New York.
  • Azu and Lin Aida returned home, and Azu received the Amazing Spider-Man event settlement and inspected Martin Sink's items and the Glory Shop.
  • Azu discovered he had enough Multiverse Crystals to buy the Bracers of Hercules and reviewed his available resources.
  • After his performance, Supersonic met a Black man in a white suit, whose suit sprouted an eyeball and tentacles that seized Supersonic's wrist.

Ch. 165The Dangerous Multiverse

Supersonic was taken over by a parasitic organism, while Azu bought new magical and strength-enhancing items and arranged a mission against the extremist group Starfire. The chapter ended with Ashley arriving at the Vienna Hotel and finding her friend with Arnold, president of Olga Company.

  • A parasite replaced Supersonic's clothes, took control of his body, and drove away with the Black man's corpse.
  • Azu bought the Darkhold spell Summon Undead and the Bracers of Hercules, then equipped the bracers and warned himself to prepare for threats beyond brute strength.
  • Azu sent Stormfront to find Mallory and told Starlight that she would have to prove she had changed to earn his forgiveness.
  • Ashley told Azu that the Department of Defense wanted his unit to deal with Starfire, and Azu agreed to lead the mission if he received the rank of general.
  • Azu praised Delta Force's training and told Lieutenant Koti to prepare for the operation with Starlight and Princess Frost.
  • Ashley went to the Vienna Hotel to meet her friend and found Arnold, president of Olga Company, there as well.

Ch. 166Using a Tyrannosaurus to Fight a Tyrannosaurus

Ashley negotiated a place for Supersonic on the Seven Reserve instead of accepting Arnold’s offer to help him join The Seven. Grace Mallory warned Secretary Wilson that the government needed another “Tyrannosaurus” to counter Homelander, and Azu reviewed files on Starfire’s leaders.

  • Arnold asked Ashley to recommend Supersonic for The Seven, but she refused and offered him a place on Starlight’s Seven Reserve; Arnold promised her access to his Hawaii villa and yacht.
  • After Ashley left, Arnold told Supersonic that she had accepted his favor on her own terms, and Supersonic said he wanted to get close to Homelander.
  • Grace Mallory told Secretary Wilson that Homelander’s son might still be alive and urged him to ask Dr. Vogbaum about the child; Wilson ordered Vogbaum to meet him in the lab.
  • At Seven Tower, Azu reviewed CIA files detailing Starfire leaders Blade Hand, Bloody Mary, and Giant and their abilities.

Ch. 167Begin the Operation

Azu ordered Delta Force to attack Starfire, using Starlight and Princess Frost as support, while he stayed out of the operation. The raid killed Giant and Blade Hand and captured Bloody Mary; afterward, Secretary Wilson and Dr. Vogbaum discussed Homelander and his son.

  • Azu ordered Lieutenant Koti to begin the operation, and Delta Force launched neurotoxin missiles at Starfire's warehouse.
  • Delta Force dragged Giant underwater and drowned him, while soldiers burned Blade Hand to death.
  • Starlight and Princess Frost defeated Bloody Mary, who was captured after the neurotoxin took effect.
  • Princess Frost told the media that the operation represented the Department of Superhuman Oversight and praised Delta Force.
  • Secretary Wilson and Dr. Vogbaum discussed Homelander's growing independence and the possibility of using his son as a deterrent.

Ch. 168Land of Chaos

Wilson and Dr. Vogbaum discussed whether to take control of Ryan and train him as a weapon against Homelander. Meanwhile, Azu joined Amy and Dr. Nick’s expedition to a Pyramid in Goresak, where the hired mercenaries questioned his place on the team.

  • Dr. Vogbaum told Wilson that Becca had raised Ryan as an ordinary child and warned that activating his Devil Gene could create another Homelander.
  • Wilson argued that Ryan should be trained for national security and said the state had control over him, mentioning Becca and her husband Butcher.
  • Angelina showed Azu the Caiton Family estate, and he settled in before Amy called to invite him on an expedition to another Pyramid.
  • Azu met Amy and Dr. Nick at the archaeological institute, then joined their team under the name John as Dr. Nick’s personal protector.
  • Dr. Nick explained that the expedition was heading to Goresak, a hostile small country, and Azu met the archaeological team and learned A-Train Company was funding the trip.
  • After arriving in Levant, Azu met Captain Hank’s mercenary team; when Hank questioned his presence, Azu offered to pay the team an additional twenty percent.

Ch. 169Special Services

Azu joined Hank’s mercenary unit and the Archaeological Team on their journey into Goresak, where the convoy fought off the Scythe Gang at a roadblock. After reaching an abandoned village, they learned their destination was the feared Devil’s Valley, and a sudden whistle put the group on alert.

  • Hank led the group toward Goresak, and Karma was assigned to protect Azu and Dr. Nick while Ackerman guided the convoy through the barren region.
  • Ackerman warned the travelers about the Scythe Gang, the Carrion Bugs, and the Sand Leopards as the convoy approached Sabrina Oasis.
  • Black Hand Mongo’s Scythe Gang demanded an exorbitant tax, and Hank ordered his mercenaries to open fire when the bandits threatened the group.
  • Hank’s forces killed the Scythe Gang attackers, then turned away from the oasis and continued deeper into Goresak.
  • At an abandoned village, Ackerman warned that no one returned from Devil’s Valley, and a shrill whistle prompted Karma to extinguish the fire and hide Azu and Dr. Nick.

Ch. 170When Trouble Strikes, Don't Panic—Make a Call First

Hank's mercenaries fought off Black Hand Mongo's first attack, but a much larger force returned and Azu secretly called in Revenge Demon, whose firestorm killed Mongo and the bandits. The convoy later reached Devil's Valley, where Azu discovered a door underground.

  • Tank opened the battle against the Black Hand with a rocket, and Hank's mercenaries used gunfire and grenades to repel the attackers while Karma and Robin covered the flanks.
  • A second wave approached, and an enemy shell struck a nearby building as Hank prepared his depleted team to fight again.
  • Azu called Revenge Demon for help, and the summoned man unleashed a firestorm that killed Mongo and the Black Hand forces outside the village.
  • The convoy left the village and reached the river beside Devil's Valley, where Ackerman stayed behind while the others continued into the valley.
  • Azu scanned the barren valley, detected vast caves beneath the ground, and found a door underground.

Ch. 171Death Monarch (500,000 words is enough to slaughter, any longer and it'll die, sob sob sob)

Azu explored the underground tomb beyond the Gate of the Afterlife, awakened and commanded its dead, and discovered that it belonged to Tutankhamun, an Elder of the Undying Empire. He began clearing the tomb with undead and Abominations while Dr. Nick’s team entered the stairs behind him, leaving Azu advancing through the Pyramid toward its upper levels.

  • Azu slipped through the Gate of the Afterlife, used the Darkhold to summon the local dead, and sent the undead to scout the underground.
  • Azu found a buried Pyramid, entered it, and triggered an encounter identifying it as Tutankhamun’s tomb and requiring him to level it with magic.
  • Tutankhamun’s golden coffin began to open as Dr. Nick’s team discovered how to open the Gate and entered the staircase; Azu was already missing from the group.
  • An undead woman warned Hank’s team to turn back while Azu and his undead defeated the Anubis guardian and Azu transformed its body into an Abomination.
  • Azu sent the Abomination and his undead through the tomb to fight its monsters, creating more Abominations from corpses as he advanced toward the upper levels.

Ch. 172I, Azu, Necromancer

Azu defeated Tutankhamun with the Darkhold and made him surrender, then learned about the Undying Empire’s surviving Elders and Blox’s plans. The chapter ended with Azu asking Tutankhamun to find Blox so he could assign him a task.

  • Hank and Tiger entered the passage with the team, and Dr. Nick identified murals depicting an Undead Monarch, mummies, and dead animals.
  • Amy found an inscription warning that the living were unwelcome beyond the door, while Vic discovered a scythe, bandages, and half a jackal’s head.
  • Azu opened a heart-sealed door, found an empty coffin, and drew out Tutankhamun and his Black Robe and Red Robe attendants.
  • Tutankhamun admitted he was an Elder of the Undying Empire and offered a mage’s duel; Azu trapped him in Darkness Prison until he surrendered.
  • Tutankhamun explained that Blox had awakened him and wanted to revive the Undying Empire, but he had refused because only the Queen of the Night could rule it.
  • Azu told Tutankhamun that Blox had formed Vought and asked him to find Blox for a task.

Ch. 173Sorrow

After resolving the Pyramid event, Azu learned Tutankhamun’s spell Death’s Maw and traveled to the Marvel Universe. Meanwhile, Secretary Wilson and Dr. Vogbaum told Becca that Homelander had become uncontrollable and urged her to let Ryan train, then showed her footage of Stormfront killing William Butcher.

  • Azu gained forty Proficiency Essence, two Multiverse Treasure Chests, and the magic book Death’s Maw for resolving the event.
  • Azu learned Death’s Maw and, with the Pyramid expedition expected to last several days, used his Traveler’s Ring to enter the Marvel Universe.
  • Dr. Vogbaum and Secretary Wilson flew into Vought’s hidden community and explained that its staged town had kept Becca and Ryan under surveillance.
  • Dr. Vogbaum and Wilson told Becca that Homelander had killed Edgar and that conventional and nuclear weapons might not stop him, urging her to let Ryan receive professional training.
  • Wilson showed Becca a video of Stormfront killing William Butcher, and Becca broke down in grief as Wilson and Dr. Vogbaum left.

Ch. 174Thor 2: The Dark World

Azu entered the Thor: The Dark World event and found himself aboard the Dark Elves’ mothership as they awakened. After Malekith’s forces captured him, Azu broke free, defeated the Cursed Warrior, and killed Malekith, leaving the Dark Elves’ plans in disarray.

  • Azu arrived aboard a Dark Elf ship and realized Jane Foster had likely awakened the Aether, so he planned to follow the Dark Elves to Asgard.
  • Malekith awakened and learned that a supposed Cosmic Thief had infiltrated the Twilight, then ordered his warriors to bring Azu before him.
  • Azu mocked Malekith and the Dark Elf General, who attacked him with a sword that shattered against Azu’s neck.
  • Azu tore apart his Dark Cuffs, killed the general, and used his heat vision to destroy the Dark Elf guards and the Cursed Warrior.
  • Azu confronted Malekith on his throne and killed him with his heat vision.

Ch. 175Life Requires Constant Experimentation

After killing Malekith, Azu took command of the Dark Elves and planned to seize the Aether from Asgard. As the Dark Elf fleet arrived, Odin ordered Jane Foster protected, while Azu sent Claire to prove herself and flew out above his fighters.

  • Blume and the other surviving Dark Elves knelt to Azu, who named Claire his personal guard and took the title Conqueror.
  • Azu rejected Blume’s plan to infiltrate Asgard and said he would attack openly, while Blume assured him the Dark Elves could recover the Aether.
  • Thor Odinson brought Jane Foster to Asgard, where Odin identified the substance inside her as the Aether and warned that the Dark Elves would come for it.
  • Heimdall spotted the Dark Elf fleet over the Bifrost, and Odin ordered Thor to protect Jane as Asgard’s alarms sounded.
  • Azu sent Claire to earn achievements for him, then flew out from the flagship as Dark Elf fighters filled the sky beneath him.

Ch. 176The King's War

Azu led the Dark Elves to Asgard and demanded the Aether, which was inside Jane Foster, while Odin refused to surrender it. Azu defeated Thor and battled Odin, then restrained Thor with Cyttorak's Crimson Chains as the fight continued.

  • Thor found Azu leading the Dark Elves and warned Odin that he was the Conqueror who had taken the Tesseract.
  • Azu said Malekith was dead and demanded that Asgard return the Aether or hand over Jane Foster so he could extract it.
  • Odin refused, rallied Asgard's warriors to defend their home, and clashed with Azu's Heat Rays as Thor joined him.
  • Azu blasted Odin and Thor away, then kicked Odin off his Pegasus and fought him across the Bifrost and into Asgard.
  • Thor flew back into the battle, and Azu bound him with Cyttorak's Crimson Chains.

Ch. 177Raid on the Asgardian Treasury

Azu defeated Thor and trapped Odin with the Darkhold, then led the Dark Elves’ assault on Asgard while teleporting to the prison to force Loki to guide him to the treasury. After taking several treasures, Azu triggered the Destroyer’s emergence and prepared to face the guardian.

  • Azu bound Thor with Cyttorak’s Crimson Chains and knocked him unconscious with a punch that devastated Asgard’s ground, ships, and structures.
  • Odin tried to confront Azu, but Azu trapped him in the Darkhold’s Darkness Prison and called on Asgard’s warriors to surrender.
  • Volstagg and Fandral rallied the Asgardians, so Azu ordered Claire and the Dark Elves to attack while a duplicate oversaw the battle.
  • Azu teleported to Loki’s cell, freed him and the other prisoners, then bound Loki and made him lead the way to the Asgardian Treasury.
  • Azu entered the treasury and examined its treasures, including the Orb of Agamotto, the Tablet of Life and Time, the Eye of the Warlock, the Eternal Flame, and the Casket of Ancient Winters.
  • When Azu touched the Casket of Ancient Winters, the Destroyer emerged from its chamber and fired an ultra-high-temperature beam at him.

Ch. 178Sacrifice

Azu captured Frigga and demanded Jane Foster in exchange, while Odin refused to risk the Aether falling into his hands. Thor, with Sif’s help, began preparing to rescue Jane and reach Svartalfheim, where he and his allies gathered for their next move.

  • Azu froze Frigga with the Casket of Ancient Winters, took her to the Dark Throne, and demanded that Odin bring Jane Foster to Svartalfheim.
  • Thor found Frigga missing, learned from Loki that Azu had taken her, and stopped his attack when Azu pushed Frigga in front of him.
  • Odin broke free from the Darkness Prison but refused Thor’s plan to trade Jane and the Aether for Frigga, then ordered Jane confined and barred Thor from approaching her.
  • Sif met Thor at a tavern and offered to use a secret passage to reach Svartalfheim, while she arranged for Jane to escape confinement.
  • Sif brought Jane to Thor, Volstagg, Fandral, and Loki, and Jane asked what they planned to do.

Ch. 179The Deal

Thor, Loki, and Jane Foster reached Svartalfheim, where Odin joined them and revealed that they had a sister named Hela. As the Nine Realms aligned, the Asgardians and Dark Elves exchanged Frigga for Jane, and Thor attacked the Dark Throne on Odin’s command.

  • Thor introduced Loki to Jane Foster, who slapped Loki twice before agreeing to join Thor’s plan to rescue Frigga and destroy the Aether.
  • Sif and Volstagg held off the pursuing Asgardian guards while Thor, Jane, Loki, and Fandral escaped in warships; Loki used illusions to confuse their pursuers and guided Thor’s ship through a cave to Svartalfheim.
  • Odin arrived with Asgardian warriors and revealed that Thor and Loki had an older sister, Hela, whom he had exiled; he also said he would exchange Jane for Frigga and destroy the Aether.
  • As the Nine Realms aligned, Azu and the Dark Elves brought Frigga forward to trade for Jane, and Loki escorted Jane across the field while Frigga was handed over.
  • Odin ordered Thor to strike during the exchange, and Thor leaped into the air and unleashed lightning at the Dark Throne.

Ch. 180Divine Might

Azu rescued Jane Foster from Odin's attempt to destroy the Aether, extracted it on Earth, and was transported with Odin to Jotunheim. As Azu sought Laufey's help to restrain Odin, Frigga told Loki that Odin's restored power was rapidly shortening his life.

  • Thor's lightning failed to harm Azu, while Odin restored his prime strength and attacked Jane Foster, whom Loki had secretly replaced with an Asgardian warrior.
  • Azu rescued Jane from Odin's golden attack, carried her through a passage to Earth, and extracted the Aether from her body.
  • Odin followed Azu to Earth, but the Bifrost transported both of them to Jotunheim, where Azu trapped Odin with the Darkhold's Darkness Prison and went to find Laufey.
  • On Svartalfheim, Loki brought Frigga to safety, and Frigga warned him that Odin's restored strength was consuming the last of his life.
  • Loki realized Odin had planned to die in battle and called Thor over to help their father.

Ch. 181The Enemy of My Enemy

Azu used a duplicate to lure Odin away from Jotunheim while he tried to absorb the Aether inside the Frost Giants' palace. The Aether entered Azu, but his energy triggered it to damage the Bio-Field trapping it, leaving the outcome uncertain.

  • Laufey awoke and agreed to help Azu stop Odin in exchange for the Casket of Ancient Winters.
  • Odin arrived at the palace seeking Azu, but Laufey refused to hand him over, and Thor and Loki joined the Frost Giants in battle.
