The situation simply didn't allow it!
First, if I only wrote this desert book, I could sit in front of the computer all day and still fail to write eight thousand words. Really, I wasn't joking!
Second, writing novels wasn't like going to work. If I waited until this book was finished before starting a new one, I would have no income during the two-month new-book period. And I was a full-time writer now—what was I supposed to do?

But small authors like me could only scrape out a living by seamlessly moving from one book to the next, just like clocking in at work!
Once a book ended these days, its income fell off a cliff—a terrifying plunge!
Some readers also said that rather than start a new book, I should write the Immortal Realm Arc. After all, I could keep padding out the old book and still make money.
