Aragaki Shun folded his arms and watched with interest as Kushida Kikyo kicked the door furiously, venting all the negative emotions she'd buried deep inside through a stream of venomous curses.
Who could have imagined that the gentle, considerate little angel of Class D would privately reveal such a frenzied, irritable side?
Aragaki Shun, however, wasn't surprised.
His Danger Sense could pick up on the malice hidden in other people's hearts. When he'd visited the Class D classroom before, he'd sensed an unexplained hostility coming from Kushida Kikyo.
He'd already filed her away in his mind as the same type of two-faced woman as Chie Hoshinomiya. Seeing this with his own eyes merely confirmed his suspicions.
"Clang—!"
The more Kushida let off steam, the harder she kicked. Then, at some point, the sound of her kicking suddenly grew louder, drowning out everything in the stairwell.
On this quiet night, the noise was more than a little startling.
Kushida calmed down a little, feeling as though she'd vented much of her frustration.
She turned around as if to check whether anyone was nearby.
But the more you feared something, the more likely it was to happen.
Aragaki Shun stood plainly in view.
"Good evening, Kushida. Should I step aside so you can carry on?"
When Aragaki Shun greeted her with a faintly amused smile, Kushida Kikyo froze in place.
"!!!"
The little angel of Class D fell silent.
The stairwell's atmosphere turned oppressive in an instant.
But Aragaki Shun seemed entirely unaffected. He took two more steps toward her, stopping less than half a meter away.
The boy propped his chin on his hand and studied the girl's shadow-darkened expression. At last, he nodded in approval.
