She looked like a pitiful little kitten.
But unfortunately, Nakano was a dog person.
So.
Kushida looked like a kitten welcoming her owner home the moment he stepped through the door.
She seemed so pitiful and adorable.
But as Nakano had once said, he was a dog person, so Kushida's catlike attack didn't work on him at all.
Not that he couldn't accept it. Kushida was holding his left hand in both of hers, and he could feel the girl's warmth and the softness of her hands.
He had to admit, it felt pretty nice. Nakano clearly didn't want her to let go just yet, so he deliberately acted as if he didn't understand and said,
"An exam? What exam are you talking about?"
"Nakano."
Kushida's tone seemed to drop a notch.
Clearly, this was different from the gentle, pure, heart-fluttering cuteness she'd shown before. Now Kushida seemed a little colder.
Nakano Yuu understood this side of her. It was probably Kushida's true nature in the original story—perhaps her hidden personality, with all its stats boosted after reaching its potential.
"What would it take for you to share the test papers with me?"
she asked.
It was still the same person, but somehow even her voice seemed to have changed. And for some reason, Nakano Yuu thought Kushida seemed... more charming this way.
At least, her earlier attempts to draw him in hadn't made him waver at all, but seeing her act so cool made his heart skip a beat.
Just as he thought.
As Sakayanagi Arisu's ex-boyfriend, he was clearly not normal. His tastes were weird, too.
"Looks like you've figured out that there's a way to game this exam, Kushida."
Nakano Yuu said.
"But if you want to buy the test papers, you'll need to pay for them.
