After the silence, the class erupted, everyone overwhelmed with excitement—some even cried tears of joy.
Kanji Ike, Ken Sudō, and Yamauchi Haruki were especially thrilled. All three jumped to their feet.
In the original story, the three of them were called the Three Idiots, and they were all terrible students, right at the bottom of the class.
If anyone in the class was likely to be expelled, those three were at the top of the list.
There was no need to mention Yamauchi. As for Sudō and Kanji Ike, they were part of Nakano Yuu's remedial study group. Though Nakano had told them to study their middle school textbooks, with the exam approaching, they had started to panic.
Now, though, they were immediately reassured.
If they had the exam questions in advance, they could safely pass for sure.
"No, everyone, please don't say that."
Hearing everyone's words of gratitude, Kushida blushed slightly and hurriedly waved her hands. "I only thought to ask some third-years because of what happened yesterday at lunch."
She sounded as though she were brushing off the praise, but in truth, Kushida was delighted.
"Kushida's quite the actress."
Horikita wrote to Nakano Yuu.

She didn't say anything aloud in class. Instead, she wrote on a blank sheet of paper and showed it to Nakano Yuu.
Her meaning was clear: both the story behind the test papers and the plan to distribute them now had been fabricated by Kushida.
