Though she was furious, after exchanging a glance with the boy, Kushida Kikyo didn't fly off the handle. Instead, she accepted the drink.
The cool touch in her hand cleared her head a little, dispelling some of the anger that had clouded it.
"So, Classmate Kushida, you came all the way to my dorm room to wait for me. I assume there's something you want to talk about." Hashiba Hikaru took a sip of his drink and leaned back in his chair.
"What exactly is your relationship with Horikita?"
Looking at how at ease he seemed, Kushida Kikyo spoke without the slightest warmth.
"I think I already answered that last time, didn't I?"
Hashiba Hikaru's expression was calm. He glanced at the short-haired girl sitting on his bed. Her pretty face was expressionless, her lips pressed tightly together, and a sharp glint shone in her reddish-purple eyes.
"Of course Horikita and I are classmates. What else could we be?"
"I want the real answer. You ran into each other at the café last time, and now you've gone out of your way to visit her in Class C." A cold smile played at the corner of Kushida Kikyo's mouth. "Would you go that far if you were just ordinary classmates?"
