  • Kuma used his power to travel from Lookout Island to Baltigo, where his arrival caused an explosion and alarmed the Revolutionary Army soldiers.
  • Kuma reassured the soldiers, then greeted Ivankov and reported to Dragon that his mission had succeeded.
  • Kuma reunited with Bonney, who embraced him and wept, while Dragon welcomed him back to the Revolutionary Army.
  • Dragon ordered Ivankov to take elite soldiers, Kuma, and Bonney to the Sobel Kingdom to investigate the remnants of the human gigantification research base.
  • Ivankov agreed to seize the remaining evidence, including information and specimens connected to the Ancient Giant Tribe.

Ch. 526Rendezvous

Law and Inuarashi led the Polar Submerge through Wano Country’s dangerous waters, using Law’s ROOM and Slaughterhouse to bypass the whirlpool. They contacted Kin'emon at Komuso Village, while Shimotsuki Yasuie reflected on Momonosuke’s readiness to lead Wano Country.

  • Inuarashi explained that Kaido’s inspection point made the route past Onigashima dangerous, so the group prepared to climb the waterfall with giant carp.
  • Law used ROOM and Slaughterhouse to carry the Polar Submerge over the waterfall and past the massive whirlpool.
  • Law contacted Kin'emon, who told him that Komuso Village was their safe main base and had a Lightforged Beacon.
  • Shimotsuki Yasuie recalled how Momonosuke had taken over as leader and concluded that Wano Country would be restored under his leadership.

Ch. 527Arrangements

Law and Inuarashi joined the Wano alliance’s preparations for the Fire Festival, while Yasuie explained the plan to conceal Marco and Izō from Orochi until the final moment. Rosinante outlined the coming liberation of Udon and why the Marines would target Kaido while Wano’s forces dealt with Orochi, and Law asked whether Vice Admiral Kuina was coming to Wano.

  • Law and Inuarashi arrived at Komuso Village, where Yasuie explained that Nekomamushi would bring Marco, Izō, the Musketeer Squad, and the Straw Hat Pirates to Wano shortly before the Fire Festival to keep Kanjuro from exposing them too early.
  • Yasuie and Inuarashi accepted that Kanjuro would deliver false-seeming intelligence to Orochi and then die, while they hoped to learn the truth about his past afterward.
  • Rosinante told Law that the Marines had secretly rescued Kawamatsu, Hyougorou, and other prisoners from Udon, where they and more than a thousand prisoners were training in a hidden shelter.
  • Rosinante said the alliance would secretly liberate Udon on the Fire Festival after Quinn left for Onigashima, while the Marines fought Kaido and Wano’s forces confronted Orochi and his thirty thousand troops.
  • Law asked why the Marines would not simply invade Onigashima, and Rosinante explained that Wano’s forces had to defeat Orochi themselves to preserve the country’s sovereignty and future opening.
  • Law asked Rosinante whether Vice Admiral Kuina, expected after Totto Land’s affairs were settled, had ties to Wano.

Ch. 528"Shusui"

Kuina visited Onimaru in Ringo to discuss Shusui, which was in Zoro’s hands and would soon be brought to Wano. Onimaru accepted Zoro’s right to wield the national treasure, and Kuina promised to bring him to Ryuma’s grave after the coming battle.

  • Kuina arrived at Ringo’s Northern Cemetery, where Onimaru welcomed her and asked after Kawamatsu.
  • Kuina told Onimaru that the time for reckoning was approaching and explained how Zoro had encountered Ryuma’s corpse and come to wield Shusui.
  • Kuina said Zoro had earned the right to wield Shusui through his strength and spirit, despite her own standing as a Shimotsuki descendant and Great Swordsman.
  • Onimaru agreed that Zoro could keep Shusui, citing the Sword God’s will, Wright’s service to Wano, and Kozuki Momonosuke’s permission.
  • Kuina thanked Onimaru on Zoro’s behalf and promised to bring Zoro to pay respects at Ryuma’s grave after the great battle.

Ch. 529"Enma"

Kuina reflected on her swordsmanship and her choice to develop the Float-Float Fruit, while Hiyori and Denjiro discussed Wano’s preparations for the Fire Festival and Enma’s future wielder. Hiyori decided to escape her life as Little Purple and allow Kuina’s junior brother to try Enma before the battle against Kaido.

  • Kuina accepted that Zoro might eventually surpass her in swordsmanship, but she did not regret eating the Float-Float Fruit to support her senior brother and the Marines.
  • Denjiro told Hiyori that the Marines’ aid under Wright had helped the rebellion endure and that Momonosuke had shown remarkable resolve during his training.
  • Hiyori lamented that she could not draw Enma, and Denjiro explained that none of the Nine Red Scabbards could wield the sword.
  • Denjiro proposed that Zoro, who carried Shusui and was bringing it to Wano to challenge Kaido, might be able to subdue Enma.
  • Hiyori asked Denjiro to arrange her escape so that she could end her identity as Little Purple and let Enma go to the battlefield if Zoro proved worthy.

Ch. 530Assassination

At the World Meeting, the kings approved more Marine outposts while Cobra’s taboo question drew the Five Elders’ suspicion. The Revolutionary Army rescued Cobra and Vivi during a staged battle in Mary Geoise, and the story ended with Lucci preparing to explain the destruction as an assassination gone wrong.

  • The kings approved increasing Marine garrisons around their nations, and the Five Elders accepted the proposal as a chance to expand their influence.
  • After Cobra asked a taboo question at the meeting, the Five Elders called him a traitor and discussed a purge with Lord Imu.
  • Cobra reunited with Vivi in the Social Plaza, sensed that something was wrong, and urged her and Bell to leave.
  • Sabo and the Four Army Commanders appeared in Mary Geoise and fought Borsalino, Issho, Rob Lucci, and Cipher Pol agents amid widespread destruction.
  • Sabo and the Revolutionary Army escaped with the Alabasta Royal Family, while Borsalino and Issho declined to pursue them and Lucci left the scene.

Ch. 531Beacon of History

Sabo and the Revolutionary Army hid King Cobra and Vivi beneath the Red Line after rescuing them from an assassination attempt, and Cobra revealed that the Five Elders had tried to kill him over the secret of the Empty Throne. Morgans’s reports exposed the Revolutionary Army’s attack on Mary Geoise and Cobra’s assassination attempt, while his “Beacon of History” article linked Alabasta to places the World Government had sought to erase.

  • Morgans published “Beacon of History,” connecting Shandora, Ohara, and Alabasta to the World Government’s efforts to erase history.

Ch. 532One's Own "Role"

Wright used the Revolutionary Army uprising to keep the Marines from attacking Alabasta, then prepared for the Fire Festival in Wano. As the allies arrived, Kin'emon set the plan in motion: seize Udon Prisoner Mine and gather forces for the assault on Onigashima.

  • Wright deployed Marines to suppress Revolutionary Army movements, leaving no forces available to arrest the Alabasta Royal Family, and criticized the Five Elders for banning Lightforged Beacons.
  • Marco, Nekomamushi, and the Straw Hat Pirates arrived in Wano, where Nekomamushi outlined their route to Kuri and warned them that the land's water and food were poisoned.
  • Luffy drank polluted river water and was poisoned, but Chopper saved him as Kanjuro explained how Kaido and Orochi's factories had contaminated Wano.
  • Nekomamushi explained that Quinn would leave Udon Prisoner Mine for the Fire Festival, making that day the opportunity to rescue Kawamatsu and Boss Hyougorou.
  • Kin'emon learned that Nekomamushi, Marco, Izō, and the Straw Hat Pirates had arrived, then reminded the allies to follow their assigned roles and take Udon as their last hope for gathering troops.

Ch. 533The Eve of the Fire Festival

Orochi and Kaido learned that the Kozuki loyalists were preparing to attack during the Fire Festival, but they dismissed the threat and planned to crush them. In Udon, the Nine Red Scabbards captured Kanjuro, who tried to work out how Kin'emon had discovered his betrayal.

  • Orochi read the intelligence report about the Scabbards’ plans and decided the Fire Festival would become a slaughter for them.
  • King, Quinn, and Drake reported to Kaido that the mine in Udon had been breached and Marco had joined the Scabbards; Kaido agreed to wait for them at Onigashima.
  • Drake told Kaido that Orochi planned to bring over twenty thousand subordinates to the Fire Festival trap, while Kaido and King dismissed Marco and the Straw Hat Crew as threats.
  • Kin'emon and the other Scabbards confronted the wounded Kanjuro in Udon and restrained him with Sea Stone handcuffs.
  • Kanjuro asked Kin'emon when he had begun to suspect him and guessed that the Marines’ involvement might have revealed his identity.

Ch. 534The Final Message

Kin'emon killed Kanjuro after learning the full truth of his betrayal, and the Wano Country Revolutionary Army gathered its forces to begin the fight against Orochi and Kaido. On Fire Festival Day, Hiyori arrived at the samurai headquarters, while Kuina gave Zoro the sword Enma.

  • Kanjuro revealed that he was Kurozumi Kanjuro and had secretly fed information to Orochi, and Kin'emon struck him down.
  • Ashura Doji confirmed that Kanjuro's betrayal had been verified, and Kin'emon declared that their revenge had begun.
  • Hyougorou brought more than two thousand fighters from the Prisoner Mine to Komuso Village, where Yasuie rallied the eight thousand samurai gathered for the war.
  • Yasuie told the retainers that Hiyori and Denjiro would meet them, and Hiyori arrived at Hitetsu's cottage to encourage them before battle.
  • Kuina met the Straw Hat Pirates, returned Shusui's issue to Zoro by giving him Enma, and warned that he could die if he could not master it.

Ch. 535Departure!

The alliance finalized its plans to attack Kaido and Orochi, with Momonosuke taking command and thanking the forces gathered to help Wano Country. As the army prepared to depart, Marine Headquarters’ Azure Sky Fortress descended to carry them to Onigashima.

  • Luffy asked Kuina about Kozuki Oden and Wano Country’s secrets, while Robin said the war might reveal answers.
  • Rosinante invited Marco to join World's Dawn, and Marco said he would answer after the war.
  • Momonosuke reunited with Hiyori and fainted, so Kin'emon assigned Shinobu to protect him in the battle.
  • Yasuie announced that Orochi had sailed for Onigashima with most of his forces, leaving five thousand samurai to guard the Flower Capital.
  • Momonosuke named Yasuie supreme commander, appointed leaders for the samurai and Mink warriors, and thanked the allies and Marines.
  • The Azure Sky Fortress descended, ready to transport the Revolutionary Army to Onigashima on Fire Festival Night.

Ch. 536Financial Crisis

During the Fire Festival, the Beasts Pirates discovered that their treasury had been emptied just before the coming battle, while Wright’s forces secretly teleported Kaido’s gold to Marine Headquarters. Wright planned to keep the money out of the World Government’s hands and use it to support Headquarters.

  • The Fire Festival filled the Flower Capital with celebration while Orochi left only five thousand samurai to keep order.
  • Kaido mocked the approaching Kozuki forces as the Beasts Pirates gathered at Onigashima for their Grand Banquet.
  • King learned that the Beasts Pirates’ treasury was empty and went to investigate with Quinn and Drake.
  • Drake and Quinn found that the gold had vanished within six hours, and King ordered them to conceal the loss and delay the soldiers’ rewards.
  • Señor and Wright watched Kaido’s gold arrive at Marine Headquarters through the Lightforged Beacon, and Wright said the money would remain with the Marines.

Ch. 537Fire Festival Night

On Fire Festival Night, Kaido and Orochi waited at Onigashima for the Kozuki retainers while the Wano Country Revolutionary Army prepared to strike. The Azure Sky Fortress crashed through Onigashima’s gate, and Kin'emon and the Nine Red Scabbards led the assault, leaving Kaido to recognize Wright’s deception.

  • The Azure Sky Fortress descended onto Onigashima’s gate and crushed the Beasts Pirates guarding it.
  • Kin'emon, the Nine Red Scabbards, and eight thousand Revolutionary Army samurai and heroes charged into Onigashima’s banquet hall.
  • King identified the fortress as Kuina’s Marine vessel, while Orochi panicked at the Marines’ apparent involvement.
  • Kaido realized the attackers were Wano’s samurai and heroes, not Marines, and blamed Fleet Admiral Wright for deceiving him.

Ch. 538The Justification to March

Kaido and Orochi faced a Marine-backed uprising in Onigashima, while the Marines held back because Orochi remained Wano Country’s nominal ruler. As Marco and the Mink Tribe kept Kaido occupied, the Red Scabbards advanced on Orochi, and Quinn trapped both armies in the venue with his Ice Demon bullets.

  • Kaido recognized Wright’s influence, then clashed with Marco and transformed into a dragon to draw him and the Mink Tribe away from the venue.
  • Inuarashi and Nekomamushi led the Mink Tribe after Kaido, while Kin'emon and the other Red Scabbards rallied Wano’s forces to attack Orochi.
  • Orochi realized the Marines could not intervene directly while he remained Shogun, and he ordered his soldiers to protect him.
  • Quinn fired Ice Demon bullets indiscriminately into both armies and shut the venue’s heavy doors, trapping everyone inside.

Ch. 539Ice Demon

Quinn unleashed the Ice Demon virus on the venue, and Orochi welcomed the deaths of his own people as a way to eliminate Momonosuke and the Kozuki forces. Momonosuke used a Purification Crystal to cure the infected, turning many Beasts Pirates against Orochi and Quinn as the Battle Array Legion entered the fight.

  • Quinn revealed that his Ice Demon virus infected allies and enemies alike, while Orochi accepted the deaths of his own soldiers if it meant killing Momonosuke and the Kozuki forces.
  • Momonosuke defied Orochi and Quinn as infected soldiers called for him to keep fighting and kill their leaders.
  • Momonosuke opened the box Shimotsuki Yasuie gave him and shattered a Purification Crystal, cleansing the venue of the Ice Demon virus.
  • The cured fighters cheered for Momonosuke, and more than half of the Beasts Pirates in the venue switched sides and charged Orochi and Quinn.
  • Quinn mocked the fighters as weaklings, and the Battle Array Legion, trained by Drake, emerged as Kaido’s elite force.

Ch. 540Assassinating Momonosuke

Drake and Quinn prepared to counter the Revolutionary Army’s advance as Orochi tried to flee, while the Beasts Pirates focused their assassination attempts on Momonosuke. Momonosuke deflected a bullet with Totsuka-no-Tsurugi and urged the Revolutionary Army to kill Orochi.

  • Drake told Quinn that the Beasts Pirates’ elite forces had been weakened by the Ice Demon Virus and warned Orochi that their enemies’ stamina was depleted.
  • Quinn transformed into his Brachiosaurus Form and went to fight, while Drake left Orochi and headed downstairs; Orochi then ordered Fukurokuju to take him to another floor.
  • The Beasts Pirates viewed killing Momonosuke or the Revolutionary Army’s other leaders as their best chance of stopping the Azure Sky Fortress from joining the battle.
  • Shinobu and Hyougorou protected Momonosuke from attacks as he advanced with the army, while four former underworld bosses guarded Shimotsuki Yasuie.
  • A pirate fired at Momonosuke, but Momonosuke deflected the bullet with Totsuka-no-Tsurugi and ordered the Revolutionary Army to kill Orochi.

Ch. 541Plague and Calamity Disaster

Momonosuke remained safe as the battle against Kaido and Orochi's forces intensified, and the alliance focused on defeating Quinn. With Chopper, Law, the Straw Hat Pirates, and the Red Scabbards working together, Drake betrayed Quinn and helped bring him down.

  • Shimotsuki Yasuie spotted Quinn charging into battle and ordered the alliance to execute its plan.
  • Law and Sanji engaged Quinn and Page One while Ulti joined the fight against Sanji.

  • Law suppressed Quinn's defense and healing while the Straw Hat Pirates attacked him, but Quinn began transforming to escape.
  • Drake struck Quinn with X-Calibur and revealed his betrayal, then the Nine Red Scabbards beheaded Quinn.

Ch. 542"Pirates" Betrayal

Drake killed Quinn and seized command of the Beasts Pirates’ Battle Array Legion, turning it against Hawkins, Apoo, and Orochi’s forces while the Red Scabbards pursued Orochi. Momonosuke sensed a powerful presence in the castle’s basement muttering that she wanted to become Kozuki Oden, leaving the group facing another mystery.

  • Drake announced Quinn’s death, ordered the Beasts Pirates to follow him, and attacked Hawkins and Apoo.
  • The Flying Six accepted Quinn’s death and joined the fighting as Drake’s forces overwhelmed Hawkins, Apoo, and Orochi’s men.
  • Momonosuke urged the Revolutionary Army and Red Scabbards to pursue Orochi while Drake stayed behind and discussed Kaido’s New Onigashima Project with the Flying Six.
  • Momonosuke used Observation Haki to locate Orochi on the fourth floor and learned that Fukurokuju was protecting him.
  • Momonosuke sensed a powerful presence on the first basement level, where someone kept saying she wanted to become Kozuki Oden and would die ten thousand deaths for him.

Ch. 543Kurozumi Orochi

Orochi tried to reach Kaido’s protection while the battle raged across Onigashima, but Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Law, and the Red Scabbards broke through to his floor and brought the Wano Country Revolutionary Army with them. Cornered by Momonosuke and the samurai, Orochi transformed into his Eight-Headed Serpent form as the forces of Wano prepared to strike.

  • Orochi panicked over Quinn’s screams, but Fukurokuju reassured him that Quinn and Drake were likely still fighting.
  • King battled Inuarashi, Nekomamushi, and the Mink Tribe until the full moon let the warriors transform into Sulong forms and attack the Beasts Pirates.
  • Orochi climbed toward the skull dome, but Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Law, and the Red Scabbards blasted through the floor and confronted him.
  • Law used ROOM and Slaughterhouse to transport the Wano Country Revolutionary Army from the third floor to Orochi’s location.
  • Momonosuke confronted Orochi over the twenty years of suffering, and Orochi transformed into his Eight-Headed Serpent form as Fukurokuju urged him to flee.
  • Momonosuke called on the samurai and warriors to stake their lives on a single strike, and they answered with a unified cry.

Ch. 544A Justified Cause

The Revolutionary Army killed Kurozumi Orochi and declared Momonosuke Wano Country’s new shogun, giving Marine Headquarters grounds to intervene against Kaido. Wright and his forces arrived at Onigashima’s summit as Marco and the others neared defeat, leaving the battle against Kaido poised to intensify.

  • Momonosuke revealed that Orochi could only be killed by destroying all eight heads at once, and the Revolutionary Army overwhelmed the Oniwabanshu and destroyed them simultaneously.
  • Izō drove pure Sea Stone bullets into Orochi, killing him and ending the Kurozumi Family’s revenge campaign.
  • Law addressed Momonosuke as the new shogun, and the people of Wano Country celebrated him as their general and heir.
  • Wright announced that Momonosuke had signed a Garrison Agreement with Marine Headquarters and ordered the Marines to defeat Kaido and rescue Wano Country.
  • Wright, Kuzan, Borsalino, Ace, Kuina, and Cavendish teleported to Onigashima’s summit, where Kaido had Marco on the defensive and King was close to defeat.
