Scott was intercepted halfway back to Ravenclaw Tower by the two Mr. Weasleys.
"Scott!" Fred leaned in and winked at him, "I don't know if you remember, but we have Care of Magical Creatures class together again soon."
Scott looked at him strangely, "Of course I remember, why..."
George interrupted at a rapid-fire pace, "In this week's class, we are officially going to cut off one of the tails of that poor little dog!"
Scott suddenly realized, "Oh! The Painless Severing Charm! Sorry, I forgot."
Actually, I didn't forget, Scott thought.
It just wasn't a high priority in his mind, so he hadn't gotten around to it yet.
"Forgot? Merlin!"
George deliberately put on a look of horror, looking at Scott as if he had just seen Snape wearing a lace dress.
He said in an exaggerated, incredulous tone: "You? Scott? The top student of Ravenclaw House? Actually forgot to study!"
"Fred!" He turned to look at Fred, "Are we dreaming right now?"
"Perhaps." Fred immediately said in a dreamy tone, "But it could also be that Scott was hit by a powerful Confundus Charm!"
"Alright, alright, it's my fault." Scott raised his hands in surrender, and he promised the two, "Don't worry, I'll get this done before this week's Care of Magical Creatures class!"
He said with a smile, "Or perhaps, our other group member Roger has already learned it? I'll go ask him."
"Hope so." Fred winked, "There must be at least one person in our group who has learned that spell, otherwise we'll have to use Diffindo to turn that little dog's two tails into eight!"
George grinned at his brother, "If you do that, maybe that Crup will bite your butt into eight pieces?"
Scott laughed as well, "Now that you mention it, I'm actually looking forward to seeing that scene."
"Oh, vicious Scott."
Fred suddenly reached out and grabbed the Raven on Scott's shoulder.
"Is this your new pet? Scott."
He stroked the Raven's sleek, shiny black feathers with his fingers.
"What's its name?" George also extended a finger and gently poked the Raven's head, "Why doesn't it make any noise?"
Scott made up a lie on the spot, "Obviously, it's a wild bird, so it doesn't have a name yet."
He reached out, and the Raven in Fred's hand immediately hopped onto his palm.
"It's possible that Filch and Hagrid have been working too hard on pest control around the castle and its surroundings lately, causing it to lack food, so it simply decided to hang around me."
His hand gently stroked the Raven's feathers, but a cruel smile suddenly appeared on his face, "The reason it doesn't make any noise is because its cry is too loud and unpleasant, so I cut off its tongue."
Fred and George immediately covered their mouths and took a step back at the same time.
Just then, a few short, sharp screams came from nearby.
A few younger Gryffindor students happened to be passing by and had just happened to hear what Scott said. At this moment, they were all staring at Scott with wide, terrified eyes.
Fred and George immediately got into the spirit; they pretended to be scared and mumbled in unison, "You looked like you really wanted to cut our tongues off just now!"
"A lot of the time, I do have that thought." The expression on Scott's face grew increasingly evil.
"Oh! Please spare us!" Fred and George put on a shivering act.
At this moment, a little girl with red hair among the younger students nearby bravely stepped forward.
"You... you can't do that!" She was a bit scared, but still glared at Scott.
"Red hair?" Scott glanced at her and began to intentionally mimic Snape's tone of voice, "Another Weasley?"
"Oh! Scott!"
Fred hurriedly pulled the little girl behind him, putting on a look of righteous indignation.
"She's our innocent little sister!" George also stepped forward a bit, "We won't let you hurt her!"
Scott cast another cold glance at the little girl behind the two.
"Is that so?" He continued using his Snape voice, "I'm not interested in your affairs, but you are bothering me."
He drew his wand with one hand and gently traced the tip along the Raven's feathers.
He continued, "Just like this bird, you are going to have your tongues cut off too."
"No!" Fred said in grief and indignation, "You are too cruel; if we lose our tongues, how will we cast spells in the future?"
Scott's mouth twitched.
Fred's desire to perform was too strong; he even used an operatic tone while speaking.
But when he noticed a few first-year students out of the corner of his eye, he couldn't help but twitch his mouth again.
Judging by the expressions of these "audience members," they were clearly even more immersed in the act than the "actors."
Scott continued the performance, "Casting spells? Don't worry, perhaps you can let Madam Pomfrey sew your tongues back on. But you must remember to remind her, lest she mixes up the two of your tongues."
Fred and George immediately wore expressions of disgust.
But George immediately switched back to the look of someone about to die heroically, turning to his sister and shouting, "Ginny, you guys go first!"
Ginny Weasley was pale, her eyes red, yet she still tremblingly drew her wand.
It seemed she intended to fight side by side with her brothers.
The other Gryffindor first-years did not turn tail and run either, all pulling out their wands with shaking hands.
Scott felt that if this continued, these young wizards might have an "accidental discharge." It would be bad if they attracted the attention of a professor, so he stopped his performance.
His wand traced an arc in the air as he incanted a Reparo spell.
Following this, the Raven that had been struggling in his hand gradually stiffened, and the texture of wood appeared across its body.
"Oh! Is it over?" George asked with a grin.
"Is this your new prank?" Fred reached out and snatched the wooden Raven carving from Scott's hand, turning it over and over to examine it.
"I like this!" George clapped a few times and offered a suggestion, "It's just that your expression earlier wasn't evil enough, Scott."
He leaned in and whispered, "Just like your tone of voice, you could also imitate that greasy old bat, Snape."
"I will be sure to improve next time." Scott nodded, accepting his advice.
"Fred! George!"
Ginny Weasley let out an angry roar, grabbed her books, and hurled them at the twins.
"You two jerks!" After throwing the books, she charged forward, punching and kicking at them.
"Oh, Ginny!"
"You look exactly like Mom when you're angry!"
Fred and George hurriedly dodged, laughing and joking.
Scott stood to the side, his gaze sweeping over the stunned young wizards as he began to secretly observe and sense the state of the furious Ginny Weasley.
This was the key figure of the Chamber of Secrets Incident.
