Dai Mubai

Looking at Da Ming and Er Ming, Zhu Zhuqing was still a little afraid.

So when she saw Da Ming and Er Ming walking toward them, she quietly hid behind Luo Yan.

Luo Yan noticed her movement and subtly took her right hand, signaling that she didn't need to worry.

Besides, most things in the human world were completely new to them.

Xiao Wu was lively, too, directing Er Ming to buy all sorts of things.

Only Zhu Zhuqing remained relatively composed, quietly following beside Luo Yan.

"There's no need to rush about Xiao Wu's matter. We'll hire a few carriages at the town gate and ride there. There's no need to travel on foot!"

Luo Yan waved his hand and explained what he had in mind.

He hadn't yet decided to go to Spirit City.

Judging from the Demon King Phantom's fight against Tang Hao earlier, a Fifth-Rank Demon King at the peak of its strength was only comparable to a Level 95 or 96 Super Douluo.

Even with Da Ming and Er Ming, they probably still wouldn't be enough.

After all, Bibi Dong could still wield the power of a Level 98 Peak Douluo, and there was also Qian Daoliu, who was Level 99.

By carriage, however, it took four and a half days before they finally arrived at the gates of Suotuo City.

As the "granary" of the Balak Kingdom, Suotuo City was one of the major cities in the Heaven Dou Empire. It stood at the center of the fertile Lima Plain, within the Balak Kingdom.

Its gates were at least ten times larger than those of Nuoding City.

The gates were also crowded with people coming and going, a volume of traffic Nuoding City couldn't compare with.

The number of Soul Masters was even more striking. Basically, nine out of every ten people were Soul Masters.

It was already getting dark, but Luo Yan wasn't in a hurry to take care of business. "Let's find somewhere to stay first!"

Thinking of Dai Mubai's Rose Hotel, Luo Yan's eyes lit up.

It wasn't time for Shrek Academy's admissions yet, but he remembered the original story saying that Dai Mubai brought a different woman to stay at the Rose Hotel almost every day.

If they went now, perhaps they'd get to see a show.

"I know where he is. If we go now, we might run into him!"

Luo Yan knew that Zhu Zhuqing had come to the Heaven Dou Empire because she wanted to ask Dai Mubai why he had abandoned her and fled.

It was a knot in Zhu Zhuqing's heart, and he hoped she could untangle it herself.

At the mention of Dai Mubai's name, Zhu Zhuqing's body trembled slightly.

Zhu Zhuqing looked at Luo Yan, wanting to explain herself.

But before she could speak, Luo Yan interrupted her. "Let's go see what this Third Prince you've pinned all your hopes on is doing."

With that, he took Zhu Zhuqing's hand and headed toward the Rose Hotel.

Seeing Luo Yan holding Zhu Zhuqing's hand, Xiao Wu pouted and displeasedly took his other hand.

But Luo Yan had told her about Zhu Zhuqing earlier.

She knew about the relationship between Zhu Zhuqing and Dai Mubai, so when she heard that Luo Yan was taking Zhu Zhuqing to find him, she became interested, too.

Da Ming and Er Ming weren't particularly interested. They quietly followed behind Luo Yan.

By the time they reached the Rose Hotel, it was completely dark. Only the lights from the nearby shops were still shining.

The bustling street was now almost deserted, with only three or five people walking along it.

Luo Yan looked around but didn't see Dai Mubai.

They must have come at the wrong time. Perhaps Dai Mubai hadn't left Shrek Academy today...

Luo Yan regretted his bad luck.

But just as he led Xiao Wu and the others into the hotel to get rooms, the receptionist who had been helping them suddenly looked past Luo Yan and smiled.

"Young Master Dai, you're here!"

"We've kept your room upstairs for you. Just head on up!"

A young man's voice came from behind Luo Yan as well. "Beautiful Miss Zhao, thank you so much. If you're free later, you can come upstairs for a drink!"

Luo Yan didn't recognize the voice, but he felt Zhu Zhuqing's right hand slip from his grasp.

"Looks like he did come after all!"

Luo Yan hadn't expected such good luck. They'd run into Dai Mubai as soon as they arrived.

He'd thought it might take a few days to find him.

Then he let go of Zhu Zhuqing's hand.

Sure enough, the moment he released her, Zhu Zhuqing turned to look at Dai Mubai.

At first, Dai Mubai's attention was fixed on the twins in his arms. With the light behind them, he didn't recognize Zhu Zhuqing right away.

Still, Dai Mubai noticed the strikingly ample figure in front of Zhu Zhuqing's chest.

His eyes lit up, and he looked at her with a predatory gaze. "Beautiful lady, why are you all alone so late at night?"

"Why don't you come upstairs and keep me company? Don't worry, I'll make you feel right at home!"

Dai Mubai didn't take Luo Yan and the others seriously at all.

Luo Yan and the others turned around to look at Dai Mubai, who had his arms around the twins.

Hearing what Dai Mubai meant, Xiao Wu's face darkened. She wanted to step forward and teach him a lesson, but Luo Yan held her back.

Zhu Zhuqing's face was also ashen.

She hadn't expected the person she'd longed to rely on to still be like this.

When Zhu Zhuqing first learned where Dai Mubai was, she had thought that once she found him, they would work hard to cultivate together and then return to fight for the throne.
