Uchiha vs. the Predators
Behind the wall.
Faint roars echoed from somewhere, then abruptly stopped. Someone must have successfully hunted a Xenomorph!
After a brief rest, Fang Xiu's Chakra was still fairly plentiful. He had reentered Subterranean Voyage mode and was once again moving freely through the different levels of the Pyramid Trial Grounds.
He looked every bit the hunter.
As he swam past a corner, he suddenly noticed something strange and formed a rough guess.
With that, Fang Xiu leaped out of a wall and looked toward the area where he'd heard the noise.
A headless Drone Xenomorph lay on the ground.
His Tomoe spun!
Keeping a careful eye on his surroundings and focusing all his senses on any faint disturbances nearby, Fang Xiu strode over to investigate.
Everyone knew that Xenomorphs had incredibly tough bodies. Ordinary high-caliber rifle rounds couldn't pierce their shells.
But the cut on the severed Xenomorph head was smooth as a mirror. It was easy to imagine how it had been sliced in two moments earlier.
"Predator technology really is impressive."
After a brief sigh of admiration, Fang Xiu continued exploring the passage, which still stretched onward.
He walked about twenty meters, turned through two branching passages, and spotted another Xenomorph corpse.
But unlike the previous one, this one had been torn into pieces. Chunks of flesh lay scattered everywhere, and its acidic blood had sprayed across a wide area, eating through the ground in a fan-shaped pattern.
It had clearly been killed with a high-energy weapon!
There were only three Plasma Shoulder Cannons in the entire trial grounds. At least two of them had been deliberately downgraded into guns with fixed power levels, and Fang Xiu had one of those...
Whoosh! A Shuriken that had somehow appeared between his fingers whistled through the air.
A Facehugger, hanging upside down from the ceiling and preparing to ambush him, was pinned dead on the spot.
Of course, the standard-issue weapon from the Naruto World was quickly corroded by the acidic blood and lost its edge.
"Killed Facehugger ×1. Acquired 25 reward points."
His Watch updated.
But Fang Xiu paid it no attention. He stared at the ventilation shaft in the upper right, where a fresh swarm of Facehuggers was crawling out.
Whoosh!!
Without the slightest hesitation, the lead Facehugger launched itself at him, its body even spinning 180 degrees in midair.
"Subterranean Voyage."
Fang Xiu was clearly still unwilling to face them head-on. His fingers flew through Hand Seals as he murmured inwardly, and the huge, hard rocks beneath his feet instantly turned into a sea of sand.
The swarm pounced at empty air.
Before they could change direction, Fang Xiu burst out again, swimming at high speed through the ground like a shark skimming across the sea. He formed Hand Seals in midair!
Snake—Ram—Monkey—Boar—Horse—Tiger.
"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique."
His chest heaved, and a ball of fire burst from his mouth.
It swelled as it met the air. Rolling flames turned the orange-red sphere into a blazing mass two meters in diameter, raising the temperature throughout the long, narrow passage.
In truth, the technique had a broad area of effect, tremendous power, and an impressive range.
Because it released a concentrated stream of high-temperature flames, it was several times stronger than the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique, which focused on hitting multiple targets! Its power also depended on the user's ability, and it didn't consume much Chakra.
In an instant, the Facehuggers, senselessly packed together in one place, were wiped out. The data on the Main God Watch updated: Killed Facehugger ×10. Acquired 250 reward points.
"Chakra is a form of energy. With all that noise, the Xenomorphs aside, if any Predators are still alive, they should be drawn here, right?"
Xenomorphs had exceptionally sharp hearing.
Predators constantly wore energy-detecting masks.
The vibrations and heat from the Great Fireball crashing down would be like a torch in the darkness to them. Fang Xiu just didn't know whether a Xenomorph or a Predator would arrive first. And if he'd attracted a Predalien...
"Hm?" Before he could think further, Fang Xiu, who had kept Subterranean Navigation Technique active so he could escape at any moment, suddenly felt a gust of wind stab toward him.
He didn't need to use his Sharingan. Even though the enemy remained optically camouflaged, he could still judge its movements from subtle changes in the wind and other clues.
In a flash, Fang Xiu bent to dodge. An invisible object skimmed past his hair and lodged in the wall behind him, punching straight through the thick stone.
Crackle!!
Blue light flooded both of Fang Xiu's hands as he crouched to dodge and completed the Hand Seals. "Lightning Style: Earth Flash."
Even without Water Release to help conduct it, simply touching his fingers to the ground unleashed a powerful current that immobilized the target! As the lightning surged, a spear appeared. It was about two meters long, shaped like a javelin, and carved with mysterious patterns—beautiful, but deadly.
At the same time!
A massive figure suddenly appeared in the seemingly empty northeast corner: a strange man two and a half meters tall, radiating an oppressive presence.
He stood in striking contrast to the god depicted in the nearby mural, worshipped by ancient humans. The two looked almost exactly alike.
"A Predator... Your mask has grooves like a beard. Should I call you Cat-Face?"
As he spoke, Fang Xiu pressed a Kunai against the Predator's heart. "We finally meet."
Should he kill him?
He might get a decent number of reward points, but he'd most likely miss out on a side quest.
After all, Cat-Face wasn't anyone important among the Predators, and his combat ability was nothing special.
That was exactly why Fang Xiu was leaning toward another option: spare him, build some goodwill, and use the opportunity to make contact with the Predator clan.
After all, in the Main God Space... technology was another path to power!
As he considered it, the passage began to rearrange itself at random. Amid a series of clacks, another Predator came into view. Without hesitation, it charged straight at Fang Xiu.
The sight terrified the new Reincarnator who had randomly spawned in this area at the end of the passage.
It was Scarface! His mask bore the clan's mark!
He'd completed his first hunt and burned that symbol into his mask with Xenomorph blood!
His Sharingan turning, Fang Xiu watched as the exceptionally gifted warrior took just a couple of steps before activating optical camouflage. To the naked eye, he vanished completely.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Under the gaze of Cat-Face and the unlucky newcomer, Fang Xiu swung his Kunai, fighting against empty air.
If not for the occasional sparks and ringing clash of metal, the newcomer might have thought he was watching a gymnastics master perform.
But that impression was exactly right! That was the Sharingan.
It greatly enhanced perception and dynamic vision, could copy Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, made close-quarters combat as graceful as gymnastics, and let its user perform all sorts of flashy yet practical tricks with thrown weapons. It also greatly strengthened Genjutsu and improved the user's looks...
Once the Mangekyō awakened, it granted two powerful ocular techniques that could be activated instantly, even ones that affected space and time.
It could even summon Susanoo in multiple stages, taking the field in the form of a giant mecha to boost defense in combat and wreak havoc across the battlefield!
