Chenli's overall layout resembled a √, with another √-shaped mountain range nested within the larger one. The five sects were distributed throughout it.

[Yuyuan Mountain Liuguang Sect] lay on the outermost plains of western Chenli. [Jiankong Mountain Mingjing Sect] stood in the left-middle portion of the √-shaped mountain range in western Chenli. [Xushen Mountain Taiming Sect] occupied the basin at the center of the √-shaped range. [Meiyu Mountain Zuohuan Sect] was on the range's right side, while [Hongfu Mountain Huangyang Sect] lay on the easternmost plains and coast.

To Chenli's southwest lay Xishan Domain of Da Chen, while across the sea to the west was the Taiyuan Mountain region of the Demon Spirits. To the north were the chaotic Heavenly Sea and the Extreme Northern Ice Plains, forever ravaged by blizzards.

The ice plains were not land, but seawater frozen by bitter cold. Beneath tens of thousands of miles of ancient black ice, there were supposedly remnants of the Sea of Primordial Creation left behind when Great Immortal Huaixu created the world in Hongmeng—a sea possessing unimaginable might.

Some even said that in the deepest reaches of that dark, ancient ice ocean, devoid of the slightest light or warmth, the bloodlines of ancient Meng-Hong Giant Beasts slept in silence. These ancient divine beasts, which occasionally awakened, were as vast as mountain ranges. A mere turn in their sleep could stir the undercurrents beneath the ice plains, causing the plains to shatter and reform without end, leaving the entire Extreme Northern Ice Plains in eternal flux.

Eighty thousand li north of the Jiankong Mountain Range stood a frigid mountain range along the coast of the ice plains.

Deep within these towering, unpeopled mountains stood a Demon Spirit cave abode known as Youfeng Cave.
