An Jing was rather curious. After all, Jin Yanhua had many things to be proud of.
Leaving aside "my Dragon God father," she was also a Jinyuantian Walker, a divine artisan, a master of heavenly secrets, a grandmaster of thunder arts... Whatever her identity or accomplishment, it was incomparably exalted.
If she wished, Jin Yanhua could receive the finest treatment anywhere beneath these heavens—so what could possibly be called "her foundation"?
Carrying that curiosity, An Jing descended alongside Jin Yanhua.
And so the heavens split apart beneath a dragon's roar.
A speck of azure radiance abruptly lit up amid the nocturnal sea of clouds. A streak of deep green thunder flashed forth, cleaving through the firmament.
The light twisted and coiled, dragons and snakes winding through it, wild and unbridled, as though it were thunder in its purest form. Amid a rolling boom, it pierced the dim sky and sea over the East Sea.
"That thunderlight?" "It's the Dragon General!" "Dragon General Jin has returned!"
Before the rumbling thunder arrived, its light had already illuminated all directions. Throughout the surrounding waters, the sea clans raised their heads in astonishment, then rapidly swam toward the surface.
Whether scaled and armored or bearing gills and fins, whether human-bodied with fish tails or fish-bodied with human limbs, the sea folk emerged from the water. Some prostrated themselves upon reefs, while others floated on the waves. They gazed up at the sky, and in every eye was reflected that familiar streak of lightning.
Then—
They lowered their heads in awe and worship.
They worshipped the heavenly might, the deity of dragons and thunder.
The thunderlight paid these sea clans no heed. It headed toward the center of these waters, toward a lone island rising at their heart.
