Sakayanagi Wants to Be Queen

After they finished eating the beef, Ye Yunchuan pushed all the blame onto Sakayanagi Arisu.

"What a playboy."

Sakayanagi Arisu curled her lip.

Despite saying that, she didn't hide her ability from Ye Yunchuan. Instead, she told him outright:

"My superpower is Mind Control. I can control anyone whose mental strength is below mine, as well as intelligent animals. I can also give them orders and place Mental Imprints on them."

"Interesting. Then let's find somewhere to test your superpower."

Ye Yunchuan hadn't expected Sakayanagi Arisu to be so willing to tell him everything.

So, after they finished eating, he took her to test her ability.

"Crouch down, stand up, and bark like a dog."

"Woof, woof~"

There was no denying that Sakayanagi Arisu's Mind Control was incredibly powerful. The girl she controlled couldn't disobey her commands at all.

After testing what it could do, he had Sakayanagi Arisu test the limits of her ability.

To his surprise, Sakayanagi Arisu could control a great many people. At the very least, they couldn't find her limit in the dormitory.

As for animals, Sakayanagi Arisu seemed able to control some of the more intelligent ones.

Cats and dogs, for example. But she couldn't control animals with lower intelligence, like rats and cockroaches.

"Not bad. Your ability is very useful, especially right now!"

Ye Yunchuan was delighted.

Sakayanagi Arisu's ability solved one of his biggest problems.

He couldn't be sure that the people under him were loyal.

With Sakayanagi Arisu around, that concern was gone.

After all, she could use Mind Control to keep his people completely under control, eliminating any possibility of betrayal.

As for Sakayanagi Arisu...

"By the way, did you never consider using that ability to control me?"

Ye Yunchuan suddenly gave Sakayanagi Arisu a knowing look.

So far, Sakayanagi Arisu hadn't used her ability on Ye Yunchuan.

At least, Ye Yunchuan hadn't felt her use it on him.

"If I did, you'd probably kill me on the spot."

Sakayanagi glanced at Ye Yunchuan, then fell silent.

In truth, she'd given up resisting the moment Ye Yunchuan had taken her.

She was a proud woman.

Once she'd chosen a man, she could never betray him.

Besides, she didn't think Ye Yunchuan would be foolish enough to give her an ability that could be used against him.

Chapter 40: Sakayanagi Wants to Be Queen

"Kill you?"

Ye Yunchuan paused.

The reason he hadn't told Sakayanagi Arisu he knew about her ability was to test her.

"Do you think I would?"

Ye Yunchuan didn't answer Sakayanagi Arisu's question.

To be honest, he didn't know whether he'd kill Sakayanagi if that really happened.

But, given his personality, he'd probably do it.

Seeing that Ye Yunchuan hadn't answered directly, Sakayanagi Arisu thought for a moment before saying:

"I can give you my body and soul, but I have one condition."

"What condition?"

Ye Yunchuan was surprised.

"I want to be your Empress."

"Huh?" Even Ye Yunchuan was taken aback by that.

"I have to say, you girls are ambitious. Every one of you wants to be my Empress."

"You're talking about Shiina, right? I think you know perfectly well, given her personality..."

"Stop! Sakayanagi, you're getting into dangerous territory."

Ye Yunchuan cut Sakayanagi Arisu off.

"Besides, don't you think you need to accomplish something before you can claim a position of power?"

Ye Yunchuan sighed.

In truth, he knew perfectly well that Shiina wasn't suited to being Empress.

And in terms of ability, Sakayanagi was better than Shiina.

But he clearly liked Shiina more.

He couldn't help it. She was so soft and sweet, like a little bundle of warmth who always looked after him.

Unless he had no other choice, Ye Yunchuan wouldn't want to hurt her.

"It seems you like Shiina more than I expected, Yunchuan."

Sakayanagi Arisu smiled, uncharacteristically, then continued:

"I was presumptuous. You were right about one thing: seeking power before earning the achievements to match it is reckless."

"Just wait, Yunchuan. One day, I'll be the person you cherish most!"

Sakayanagi wasn't a fool.

Although Ye Yunchuan hadn't agreed to her condition, he'd given her a chance to compete fairly with Shiina Hiyori.

And Sakayanagi was confident.

As long as it was a fair competition, she couldn't possibly lose to Shiina Hiyori.

She was going to claim the position of Empress!

"Is that so? Since you're so confident, come with me today. I'm going to conquer Ikusei High School and clear out every last Zombie on campus."

He'd taken the bait.

Seeing the girl in her childlike body so fired up, Ye Yunchuan grinned.

For an ambitious heiress like Sakayanagi, power and influence were often the biggest temptations.

"I never expected you to be so ambitious, Yunchuan. I guess I'll have to give it my all!"

They were both smart. How could Sakayanagi Arisu fail to see through Ye Yunchuan's little ploy?

Unfortunately, Ye Yunchuan's was an open strategy.

Even knowing his intentions, her desire for power would still drive her to prove herself to him.

"Am I imagining things? I feel like he has me wrapped around his finger."

Sakayanagi Arisu frowned without thinking.

"But before we set out, you'll have to help me with something. Put Mental Imprints on all the men in this building, so they'll obey."

Sakayanagi Arisu hadn't expected Ye Yunchuan to be so domineering, leaving no chance for other men at all.

But there were benefits to it, too. She was a woman, after all, and there might be other men in the building who had their eyes on her.

Putting Mental Imprints on them in advance would benefit both her and Ye Yunchuan.

So she did as she was told, placing Mental Imprints on all the men in the building that forbade them from touching women and made them serve Ye Yunchuan obediently.

And it wouldn't just be the men in the building. Any other men who joined them later would have to receive the same Mental Imprint.

Of course, since the men were getting Imprints, the women needed Loyalty Imprints, too.

"Yunchuan, there's a man outside looking for you."

Ye Yunchuan had just been about to head out when Shiina Hiyori opened the door and came in.

"Who?"

At a time like this, Ye Yunchuan couldn't imagine who would come looking for him, especially a man.

"I think his name is Katsuragi Kohei. He said he has something important to discuss with you."

"Oh, him. Let him in."

"Long time no see, Lord Yunchuan!"

As soon as he entered, Katsuragi Kohei bowed to Ye Yunchuan.

Ye Yunchuan was surprised to see that Katsuragi Kohei hadn't come alone. He'd brought along a white-haired girl of about thirteen.

"This is Ran, my younger sister. Ran, say hello to Lord Yunchuan."

"Pleased to meet you, Lord Yunchuan. I'm Katsuragi Ran, his younger sister. I'm very happy to meet you."

Her hair was as white as snow, her skin smooth as jade, and her delicate features made her unbearably cute.

It was hard to imagine that bald Katsuragi Kohei had such an adorable sister.

No wonder he'd been willing to work himself to the bone for Ye Yunchuan just to go back and save her.

"Ran, right? You can stay here from now on. We'll protect you!"

She was pretty, but she was still too young for Ye Yunchuan to have any interest in her.

He trusted people, but not unconditionally.

Ye Yunchuan had originally planned to clear the whole of Ikusei High School, starting from the dormitory.

Since Katsuragi Kohei had arrived, he decided to have him bring over the people from Class A.

To prevent them from refusing to cooperate, Ye Yunchuan also had Sakayanagi Arisu use Mind Control on them.

After the two groups joined up, Ye Yunchuan had around fifty people under him.

The number might have looked decent.

But aside from some of the girls, only a little over thirty of them were actually useful.

Soon, Ye Yunchuan's clearing plan began.
