Starting from March 2nd, 2021, to March 2nd, 2022, spanning exactly one year, this book has officially come to an end.
This is the first time I have written a book to this length; previously, I would abandon them after a hundred thousand words at most. When I started this book, I told myself that if I truly wanted to write what I envisioned, I had to finish a book no matter what, just to gain the most basic experience.
Only in this way could I gain a clear understanding of the overall framework of a book.
Otherwise, I would never be able to write the book I truly wanted.
So, I chose a popular (trend-following) global-scale genre at the time and started writing. The pacing was clear and straightforward, and the difficulty was low. I looked at a few similar books—oceans, deserts, doomsday bases, and so on—there were a ton of them, just like the "heavens" genre where anything could be shoehorned in. Thus, I chose Mist Survival.
Around three chapters in, I suddenly realized that this theme had a high degree of compatibility with the game Blasphemous, so I incorporated a lot of its content along with some of my own original settings, blending them together to form the basic foundation of this book.
There is nothing much to say about the book's performance; it was poor for all to see. The peak subscription was 7,000+, the average subscription was 900+, and the retention rate was abysmal. This continuous collapse, as seen from the backend, mainly started after the end of the first volume.
After finishing that part, I fell into a void for a long time. I suddenly didn't know what to write next, and coupled with the poor performance, it was easy to fall into self-doubt,
