  • The three finished their assigned repairs within an hour, then stayed on the wall and slept there after nightfall.
  • Lin Zhiluo sensed approaching danger and woke as three enormous figures appeared on the grassland.
  • One figure reached the Planting Base, crushed two workers, and licked the blood and flesh from its finger.
  • Four more enormous figures appeared and charged toward the Mountain-Sea High Wall.

Ch. 522The First Appearance of the Zombie Giants

Ch. 523The Surging Wave Behemoth—Heracles

As the Zombie Giants battered the Mountain-Sea High Wall and its old metal patches began to fail, Gu Zhuang summoned the Surging Wave Behemoth—Heracles. Heracles emerged from a dark rift and attacked the charging giants with streams of water.

  • The Zombie Giant leaped at the rising basket, missed, and crashed into the Mountain-Sea High Wall as the five survivors escaped to its top.
  • Several Zombie Giants repeatedly rammed the wall, shaking it and knocking loose metal fragments from its old patches.
  • Gu Zhuang summoned the Surging Wave Behemoth—Heracles from a dark rift beneath the High Wall.
  • Heracles emerged as the Zombie Giants charged and sliced into two of them with powerful streams of water.

Ch. 524Hercules, Whose Combat Power Was Off the Charts

Hercules emerged from the Dark Rift and devastated the Zombie Giants, while Lin Zhiluo realized that summoning beasts consumed the summoner’s life force. Hercules was pulled back into the rift, leaving the weakened Gu Zhuang collapsed and the remaining Zombie Giants attacking the High Wall as Lin Zhiluo prepared to act.

  • Hercules climbed out of the Dark Rift, battered the Zombie Giants with waves and its claws, and killed several while fending off the rest.
  • Lin Zhiluo realized that summoning giant beasts drained their summoners’ life force and that Super Physique let players summon beasts without harming their real bodies.
  • As Hercules moved toward the remaining Zombie Giants, the Dark Rift reappeared and swallowed it.
  • Gu Zhuang spat blood and collapsed as his life force ran out, and Lin Zhiluo supported him while searching for the diamond-shaped object.
  • The Zombie Giants charged the weakened High Wall again, and Lin Zhiluo realized he had to make his move.

Ch. 525Child of Destiny

Lin Zhiluo staged a near-fatal fall from the Mountain-Sea High Wall and revealed his powers as a supposed Child of Destiny while fighting the Zombie Giants. As the battle continued, Gu Zhuang took a pill to treat his injuries, and Lin Zhiluo discovered that the Pluto Mecha could strengthen his Demon King Phantom.

  • Lin Zhiluo pretended to fall from the High Wall, then revealed Azure-Purple Heterochromatic Wings as he neared the ground.
  • Gu Zhuang identified Lin Zhiluo as the Child of Destiny, and Lin Zhiluo used the Jiuli Blade to cut through a Zombie Giant's palm while feigning difficulty controlling his flight.
  • Lin Zhiluo retrieved a green pill from a Metal Box and fed it to Gu Zhuang, who closed his eyes to tend to his injuries.
  • Lin Zhiluo revealed his Shadow of the Demon King ability and summoned a Demon King Phantom behind him.

  • Gu Zhuang thanked Lin Zhiluo for helping defend the Mountain-Sea High Wall.

Ch. 527The Origin of the Child of Destiny

After Lin Zhiluo helped defeat the Zombie Giants, Gu Zhuang identified him as a Child of Destiny and explained the history of people with extraordinary powers. The Zombie Giants had begun appearing again after nearly a century, and Gu Zhuang started to reveal what the Empire knew about their past.

  • Gu An interrupted Gu Zhuang and led Lin Zhiluo and the others back to Taize Town, where the survivors were allowed to rest while news of the attacks remained suppressed.
  • At the High Priest Mansion, Lin Zhiluo saw murals depicting Heracles and other giant beasts fighting Zombie Giants.
  • Gu Zhuang explained that Children of Destiny were humans who awakened extraordinary abilities and that Lin Zhiluo was one of them.
  • Gu Zhuang said Zombie Giants had not appeared near the Empire for almost a century, but an attack in the Gulan High Wall's fourth sector last month and the latest attack showed they had returned.
  • Lin Zhiluo asked what had happened in the past, and Gu Zhuang began to share information usually reserved for clan heads.

Ch. 528The Secrets of Bozu Planet

  • Gu An announced that Shou Hong, the High Priest of the sixth region of the Mountain-Sea High Wall, had come to see Gu Zhuang.

  • Gu Zhuang replied that three days was enough.

Ch. 529The Two Conditions for the Demon God Core

Lin Zhiluo learned how the Demon God Core traded life force for summoning power and why Gu Zhuang had only three days left. Gu Zhuang decided to warn the capital about the Zombie Giants, and Lin Zhiluo agreed to go there and meet the Emperor.

  • Gu Zhuang introduced Lin Zhiluo to Shou Hong, the High Priest of the Sixth District and head of the Shou Family.
  • Gu Zhuang explained that the Demon God Core drained life force to build soul power and physical strength, and that summoning a Demon God rapidly consumed the summoner’s remaining life.
  • Shou Hong warned that the Zombie Giants’ attacks on Gulan High Wall and Mountain-Sea High Wall suggested a coming full-scale assault.
  • Gu Zhuang resolved to travel to the capital and warn the authorities, and he told Lin Zhiluo that the Emperor would grant him a special status and reward.
  • Lin Zhiluo agreed to visit the capital, Shou Hong returned to his district, and Gu Zhuang arranged lodging for Lin Zhiluo, Da Sha, and Ghost Child.

Ch. 530On the Way to Tia Main City

Gu Zhuang brought Lin Zhiluo to Tia Main City, sharing secrets of the Empire after Lin promised to help the Gu Family if it faced trouble. Lin was unimpressed by the capital’s poor conditions, and the chapter left him and Gu Zhuang heading to the Emperor Palace.

  • Gu Zhuang left Gu An in charge of the Mountain-Sea High Wall and traveled with Lin Zhiluo toward Tia Main City.
  • Gu Zhuang hinted that he worried about the Gu Family’s future, and Lin promised to help if it ran into trouble.
  • Lin Zhiluo and Gu Zhuang reached Tia Main City, where Lin found the city’s people and streets scarcely better than those in villages and towns.
  • Da Sha and Ghost Child stayed at the Gu Family’s residence in the main city while Lin Zhiluo and Gu Zhuang set off for the Emperor Palace.

Ch. 531The Splendid Imperial Palace

Gu Zhuang brought Lin Zhiluo to the Imperial Palace to report to the Tia Emperor and introduce him as a newly awakened Child of Destiny. While waiting in a side hall, Lin Zhiluo overheard Gu Zhuang and the Emperor arguing over whether to prepare for another Zombie Giant attack, and was finally summoned to meet the Emperor.

  • Gu Zhuang and Lin Zhiluo arrived at the Imperial Palace, where Gu Zhuang identified himself to the guards as the High Priest of District 7 of the Mountain-Sea High Wall.

  • After waiting in the side hall, Lin Zhiluo was summoned by the Emperor and followed the Imperial Servant into the main hall.

Ch. 532Tia Knights Order

  • Wu Jia appointed Lin Zhiluo commander of the Tia Third Knights and offered him a residence, money, jewelry, and servants.
  • Lin Zhiluo accepted, triggering the Doomsday Game’s main quest to gain an official position, complete two missions, and kill three Zombie Giants.
  • Lin Zhiluo displayed his elemental Long Wings, Demon King Phantom, and Jiuli Blade, impressing Wu Jia, who promised to assemble his team.
  • After Wu Jia dismissed them, Gu Zhuang told Lin Zhiluo that he should not have joined the Knights.

Ch. 533Wu Jia's True Motive

Lin Zhiluo learned that Wu Jia planned to use the Tia Knights as builders for a smaller High Wall rather than fighters against the Zombie Giants. The plan would abandon most of the Tia Empire’s population and conflict with Lin Zhiluo’s goal of hunting Zombie Giants, so he left the Emperor Palace needing another approach.

  • Gu Zhuang explained that Demon God controllers had once sacrificed their lifespans to build the Four High Walls, while Wu Jia now wanted the Children of Destiny to use their abilities for construction.
  • Lin Zhiluo realized Wu Jia had formed the Tia Knights to build walls instead of fight Zombie Giants.
  • Gu Zhuang revealed that Wu Jia planned to dismantle parts of the Four High Walls and build a smaller circular wall around Tia Main City, leaving ninety-five percent of the population exposed.
  • Gu Zhuang argued that the new wall would not solve the threat permanently and could be attacked during construction, but Wu Jia and many Demon God controllers supported the plan.
  • Lin Zhiluo recognized that Wu Jia’s plan threatened his goal of killing Zombie Giants to grow stronger, and he decided to find another way.

Ch. 534Under Manager Yu's Care, Try Not to Be So Careless Next Time

Lin Zhiluo planned to finish official quests before leaving the Tia Empire to hunt Ocean Behemoths and Zombie Giants. At the City Administration Office, he exploited Yu Fang’s fear of the Knights Order to turn a single key into two quest completions and a larger reward.

  • Lin Zhiluo accepted his new home and Tia Knights badge, then planned to complete official quests before going Beyond the High Wall to hunt for Demon God Cores and Zombie Giants.
  • When Gu Zhuang was away, Lin Zhiluo went to the City Administration Office and asked Yu Fang about its lost-key reward.
  • After seeing Lin Zhiluo’s Knights Order badge, Yu Fang confirmed the quest and offered twenty thousand Coins for the key Lin Zhiluo presented.
  • Lin Zhiluo completed the official quest, then took the key back and claimed Yu Fang had lost it again.
  • Yu Fang agreed to reward Lin Zhiluo with fifty thousand Coins, and Lin Zhiluo returned the key while telling him to be more careful.

Ch. 535The Mysterious Fury That Arose

Wu Jia learned that Lin Zhiluo planned to leave the city with Gu Zhuang and ordered Ding Minglang to secretly surround the Gu Family's old residence. As Gu Zhuang packed, Lin Zhiluo revealed that Ghost Child had caught a longtime servant sending a signal, and urged them to hurry before the Emperor's forces intervened.

  • Wu Jia heard that Lin Zhiluo had extorted seventy thousand coins and ordered the Imperial Servant to offer him more benefits to keep him in the city.
  • The Imperial Servant reported that Gu Zhuang had failed to win support from the major families, and Wu Jia ordered an investigation into the families that had received him.
  • The Grey-Robed Man reported that Gu Zhuang and Lin Zhiluo planned to leave for the Mountain-Sea High Wall, provoking Wu Jia's sudden fury.
  • Wu Jia ordered Ding Minglang and his men to surround the Gu Family's old residence and stop the pair from leaving, using force if necessary.
  • Ghost Child dragged in a Gu Family servant caught sending a signal, and Lin Zhiluo warned Gu Zhuang that the Emperor likely knew of their departure and urged him to pack quickly.

Ch. 536Conflict Erupts, One Punch Kills

  • Gu Zhuang prepared to leave the Gu Family Residence with Lin Zhiluo, unaware that hostile forces had gathered nearby.
  • Ding Minglang, a Law Enforcer, confronted Gu Zhuang and warned him to remain inside because he had lost his Demon God Core.
  • Lin Zhiluo asked whether Wu Jia had sent Ding Minglang to stop them or negotiate, and Ding Minglang declared that neither Lin Zhiluo nor Gu Zhuang would leave the city.
  • Lin Zhiluo punched Ding Minglang, but the Emperor’s Water Barrier blocked the first blow.
  • Lin Zhiluo shattered the barrier, crushed Ding Minglang’s head, and remarked that he had been holding back his strength.

Ch. 537Lawless

Lin Zhiluo killed Ding Minglang after the Law Enforcer threatened to stop him, then learned that Wu Jia’s forces had developed defensive Demon God Weapons. The Golden Finger System offered him a choice of escape, slaughter, or killing Wu Jia, and Lin Zhiluo accepted the extremely dangerous task to kill the Tia Emperor and unlock the Exchange Mall.

  • Lin Zhiluo crushed Ding Minglang’s head, took his cracked Demon God Core, and dismissed Gu Zhuang’s alarm over the killing.
  • Lin Zhiluo asked about Ding Minglang’s watery shield, and Gu Zhuang said it was likely a Demon God Weapon developed by Wu Jia’s forces.
  • Lin Zhiluo reflected that he and Wu Jia were bound to clash because Wu Jia sought control while Lin Zhiluo valued his freedom.
  • The Golden Finger System offered Lin Zhiluo three tasks: escape Tia Main City, fight his way out, or kill Wu Jia.
  • Lin Zhiluo chose the extremely dangerous “Lawless” task to kill Wu Jia and unlock the Exchange Mall.

Ch. 538SSS-Rank Kill Order! The Whole City Is in an Uproar as the Demon Eye Behemoth Appears

  • Ghost Child and Da Sha returned with the corpses of Law Enforcement Bureau members, and Lin Zhiluo told Gu Zhuang to take his servants home and stay inside.
  • Lin Zhiluo used stealth and Gu Zhuang's map to make his way toward the Emperor Palace.
  • The Doomsday Game announced that Wu Jia had issued an SSS-Rank Kill Order and assigned Lin Zhiluo the mission "Desperate Escape."
  • A Dark Rift opened above the city, and Rakanishu, the Demon Eye Behemoth, began emerging from it.
  • Rakanishu's eye locked onto the hidden Lin Zhiluo and roared, "Found you!"

Ch. 539Battle with the Demon Eye Behemoth

Lin Zhiluo was tracked down by the Demon Eye Behemoth, summoned to claim the reward offered for capturing him. He fought back and wounded the monster’s eye with an elemental attack, leaving the battle unresolved.

  • The Grey-Clad Elder summoned the Demon Eye Behemoth to find Lin Zhiluo, hoping to earn two Demon God Cores offered by the Emperor.
  • The Demon Eye Behemoth tracked Lin Zhiluo, emerged from a rift, and destroyed buildings as it approached him.
  • Lin Zhiluo drew the Jiuli Blade, spread his Wind-Thunder Wings, and attacked the Demon Eye Behemoth while nearby onlookers fled.
  • Lin Zhiluo dodged the monster’s corrosive venom, severed two tentacles, and blocked the splashing venom with elemental shields.
  • Lin Zhiluo’s blade barely damaged the monster’s eye, so he struck it with a Gale Elemental Orb and wounded it with an elemental explosion.

Ch. 540A Desperate Situation! The Four Demon Gods Gather

Lin Zhiluo battered the Demon Eye Behemoth, but Wu Jia ordered more Demon Gods and fighters to join the attack. The chapter left Lin Zhiluo trapped in a desperate battle against four Demon Gods in Tia Main City.

  • The Grey-Clad Elder and the White-Haired Elder called Sakalan to aid Rakanishu after Lin Zhiluo gained the upper hand against the Demon Eye Behemoth.
  • Wu Jia ordered Lu Jie, Yu Tianlu, and the Children of Destiny from the Tia Knights to join the fight and kill Lin Zhiluo.

  • Lin Zhiluo dodged the tracking Destruction Beam and escaped from several dark rifts as three more Demon Gods began to appear.
  • Gu Zhuang watched from the Gu Family Residence and realized Lin Zhiluo faced four Demon Gods at once.
