Showing His Skills

Just as doubts began to arise in Xiao Ling's heart, the pitch-black figure that had just fled the Sea of Lightning in a sorry state also keenly noticed Xiao Ling seated atop the Lightning Dragon's head.

After all, the bearing and aura Xiao Ling displayed at that moment were simply too earth-shattering. He had practically become the focal point of the entire lightning pool, impossible to ignore.

The fleeing man saw Xiao Ling as though he had grasped his last lifeline and immediately cried out for help.

His voice trembled slightly from his injuries, yet he did his best to remain composed:

"Friend ahead, please lend me a hand! I was cultivating in the Sea of Lightning earlier when an unexpected change occurred. I was struck by the lightning and suffered severe injuries. My life now hangs by a thread. If you would show mercy and assist me, I will certainly repay you handsomely and will not disappoint you!"

As he shouted urgently, the man shot toward Xiao Ling like an arrow released from a bow, moving at astonishing speed.

Yet though he was swift, the sluggishness in his movements could not be concealed. He had clearly suffered serious injuries in the Sea of Lightning earlier and was now struggling to move.

Behind him, more than a dozen savage black bolts of lightning pursued him relentlessly, moving even faster and about to swallow him once more.

Seeing this, Xiao Ling could easily imagine that if the man slowed even slightly and was caught by that Black Lightning, his fate would be extremely miserable. Even if he survived, he would be half-dead.

After observing for a moment, Xiao Ling recognized that the black lightning pursuing him was none other than the Black Demon Lightning he had dealt with many times before.
