Xuan Kongzi's astonished cry shook the quiet chamber until it trembled slightly, revealing the newcomer's identity. Other than Yao Chen, who else could it have been?

The groundwork for this had actually been laid long ago. Earlier, while Xiao Ling was traveling from the Gu Clan to the Pill Tower, he had deliberately found time to speak at length with Yao Chen, who was at Starfall Pavilion.

He had not concealed anything, laying out all his plans. He wished to cooperate with the Pill Tower, first allowing the Talisman Master cultivation method to be passed down within the Pill Tower. Once the time was right, they could then consider spreading it further.

After hearing Xiao Ling's proposal, Yao Chen gave it only brief thought before agreeing. He also promised Xiao Ling that he would lend a hand and take full responsibility for supervising the future spread of the Talisman Master method.

After all, ever since regaining his body and breaking through to Dou Sheng, Yao Chen's days at Starfall Pavilion had been exceedingly leisurely. Now that he had something both interesting and genuinely helpful to Xiao Ling to do, he was naturally more than willing. At least his leisure would not go to waste.
