Li Yue comprehended the Dao by observing and understanding the Great Dao. In his heart, the Dao stood on equal footing with him.
In truth—
Countless cultivators held only two attitudes toward the Dao.
One was to comprehend the Dao with utmost devotion, treating it as their lifelong pursuit. Such cultivators placed the Dao above themselves. Even as they grew stronger step by step, until they completely controlled their own Dao, that attitude remained unchanged.
The other—
Was to regard the Dao as their equal from beginning to end, just as he did.
Even if they treated the Dao as a tool, it was still a tool on equal footing with them.
But now—
He had experienced the creation of a dimension.
He had witnessed a dimension being opened and the Great Dao unfolding.
His understanding of the Dao had changed as well.
Equal?
How could it possibly be equal!
The Dao was merely something that evolved after a dimension was created.
It was the foundation and a derivative of that dimension.
And the dimension itself was opened by a dimension pioneer with the blade and axe in their hands!
The Dao was not so complicated.
Whatever I can use is my Dao!
My Dao rules all Daos.
And I rule my Dao!
This shift in mindset brought him close to a dimension pioneer.
For almost none but dimension pioneers possessed such a mindset.
All other beings—
Even those whose cultivation had reached the terrifying Fourth Step, only a hair's breadth from becoming taboo life, would still lack such a mindset.
Simply put—
Originally, he had stood within the mountain of Dao to comprehend the Dao.
Now, he stood above the mountain of Dao to comprehend it.
One was still within the Dao.
The other was already outside it!
