This book has had its highs, climbing all the way to No. 22 on the category rankings and making it to the second round of category recommendations. It's had its lows, too—and right now, we're in one. Read-through numbers have been dropping steadily.
With the numbers so low I can barely keep my pants on, I can only put the book behind a paywall now. I'm not getting any recommendations at the moment, and I'm gaining very few new readers each day. The guys also think my pacing is too slow, so I have no choice but to go premium now. At least I'll qualify for the attendance bonus next month. If I wait any longer, it's hard to say whether I'll even be able to do it by the end of the month.
To be honest, I've been really nervous about the read-through numbers these past few days.
When I woke up this morning, there were only 25 readers still following the book. It felt like the sky had fallen in.
I don't know how many readers will be left once the book goes premium.
There'll be another chapter tonight, and tomorrow the book goes premium. I'll post at least five chapters on launch day. If first-day purchases exceed 300, I'll add another chapter, and then one more for every additional 100.
The same goes for the average number of purchases!
I know that's a tough target. It's hard to say whether there are even that many readers right now.
But that doesn't stop me from dreaming big!
I'm not really a fan of bonus chapters anyway (I'm Feiwu), so I might as well set the target high.
I don't need monthly votes!
There wouldn't be enough for a giveaway anyway.
