Background / History

Han Ziyue is Han Jing's younger sister. When Zhang Yuan dated Han Jing in high school, Ziyue was a middle-school student who often tagged along; Zhang also helped both sisters with homework. She later recalls having liked him even then, and says she was happy when he and Han Jing broke up. 42 49

By the time Zhang Yuan encounters her at Xisha University, she has changed greatly from the skinny, dark-haired middle-school girl he remembers. She is studying during the summer, hoping to accumulate awards that will improve her prospects for graduate school. 38

After learning that Zhang is among the 500,000 people leaving Earth, Ziyue initially reacts with disappointment. She jokingly admits that she had hoped to “latch onto” a wealthy man, then immediately asks him to compensate her disappointment by fixing her computer.
