Getting back to reality would be easy enough—just enter the address, and any number of navigation apps could lead him there.

Zhou You looked at the apocalyptic scene around him and sighed again.

Even if he found an intact phone, there probably wouldn't be any signal.

So he could only wander around like a headless fly, hoping to find some clues—or at least a better hiding place.

The moon hung high overhead.

Or rather, the moon had not moved from its place from beginning to end. With no reference points, even his sense of time had grown incredibly faint.

It was actually quite an agonizing torment. After all, time was one of the most basic anchors keeping a person sane. Staying in this environment for too long could easily bring about all kinds of mental disorders.

He turned another corner, then cautiously skirted around a brightly lit restaurant—anyone could tell there was no way living people would be inside.

Besides, he had personally seen something similar two days ago: an open convenience store. Several of those rotting corpses had staggered inside in search of food.

Then they had never appeared again.

Zhou You had observed from outside for over an hour. Other than the lights going out for a few seconds when the corpses entered, the place had remained brightly lit the entire time. There had not even been the slightest sound of fighting.

Places like that were much the same as apartment buildings: normal on the surface, but in truth, among the most dangerous places possible.

But just as he was about to slip past without making a sound, his ear suddenly twitched.

There was a sound.

And...

It didn't sound like a monster.

Zhou You raised his brows, but made no sound. Dragging his leg, he once
