Since the beginning of this year, the sprawling Wald Pictures had been split into two separate companies: one for production and one for distribution.

Wald Pictures, with its full production capabilities;

Wald Distribution Company, with worldwide reach and a comprehensive distribution network;

At that moment, a meeting was underway in the conference room of Wald Distribution Company's North American division. Its senior executives were gathered there, along with one unexpected guest.

He had been the director of the group headquarters' president's office and the chairman's chief assistant.

Now he had been promoted and transferred to a new position. He was currently working for Wald Pictures, a subsidiary of the group, as deputy head of its production department.

"Helma, your distribution company is holding a meeting. Is it appropriate for someone from Wald Pictures like me to be here?" Alexander asked hesitantly.

Hearing this, Helma, the first president of Wald Distribution Company, waved a hand and laughed. "Why wouldn't it be? The group headquarters may have completely separated production and distribution at Wald Pictures, but don't forget, I used to be a senior manager in Wald Pictures' administrative department. We're still family, no matter how you slice it."

A manager from the overseas distribution department chimed in. "You've just transferred to Wald Pictures, so it's a good chance to come by our distribution company and get familiar with things. Besides, we'll be working together plenty from now on."

With that, the other executives present also voiced their agreement. Alexander's presence in the conference room wouldn't cause any problems.
