An Accident

On the other side, Zhuge Tao, one of the four major figures at the Limits Pavilion in Jiangnan Base City, was chatting outside Monster Town with Director Liu of the Jiangnan Base City Security Bureau.

"Zhuge, tell me, do you think the little genius your Extreme Martial Arts Hall recruited will outshine the Thunder Dojo in this assessment?" Liu Dong asked with a smile.

The Extreme Martial Arts Hall and the Thunder Dojo had been founded by Hong, the world's strongest fighter, and Thunder God, the second strongest, respectively.

Ever since their founding, the Two Great Dojos had competed with each other, always trying to get the better of the other, no matter the matter. The talented martial artists they recruited each year were naturally part of that competition.

"That kid Luo Feng is pretty steady. I wonder if he'll surprise me this time," Zhuge Tao said calmly.

Thinking of Luo Feng's reaction when the Thunder Dojo's genius had provoked him earlier, Zhuge Tao smiled faintly.

"Something's wrong!" Zhuge Tao said, his expression serious. "Hou Zhen had already sent in a batch of monsters before the assessment began. If they're transporting more now, something must have happened that we don't know about. Let's go take a look together."

"Good idea!"

With that, Zhuge Tao and Liu Dong headed straight for the large building where Hou Zhen and Wang Heng were.

Yang Wu had just finished killing a wave of monsters that had come his way and was about to head elsewhere to continue hunting when several hurried footsteps came from nearby.

Yang Wu looked up and saw several martial artists in Military combat uniforms hurrying toward him.

"What's going on?" Yang Wu wondered, but he was already on his guard.

As far as Yang Wu knew, these people weren't supposed to show up unless a Quasi-Martial Artist pressed the distress button.

"Candidate Yang Wu, please don't be alarmed! We're Military staff in charge of the assessment. We just need your cooperation with something!"

Seeing Yang Wu's wary expression, the officer in front slowed his pace. As he explained why they were there, he took out his credentials.

Yang Wu relaxed a little and nodded to them. "I'm taking the Quasi-Warrior Assessment. What do you need me for?"

The officer looked at the many monster corpses around them, deeply surprised.

He slowly walked up to Yang Wu and said, "Candidate Yang Wu, an officer from the North Military Region wants to see you. Please come with me!"

Hearing this, Yang Wu realized that someone must have seen him fighting.

"All right," Yang Wu replied, then left Monster Town with the group.

In a small room inside the large building, Wang Heng and Hou Zhen had long since lost interest in drinking.

"Iron Monkey, have you found out who this guy is yet? Don't let Zhuge Tao from the Extreme Martial Arts Hall snatch him away!" Wang Heng said.

It would be one thing if the Huaxia Military got him, but if the Extreme Martial Arts Hall snatched up a genius like this, Wang Heng would be brooding for a long time.

"I've sent people to look into it, but it takes time! What are you in such a hurry for? Maybe he used to be a student at your Thunder Dojo," Hou Zhen said calmly.

Just then, a knock came from outside the door.

"Old Hou!" Zhuge Tao said, having kept a close eye on Hou Zhen's expression. "You and Old Wang aren't hiding something from Old Liu and me, are you?"

"What could I possibly be hiding from you?" Hou Zhen replied guiltily.

"Reporting!"

Suddenly, another voice sounded outside the door, but this time Hou Zhen didn't smile.

With Zhuge Tao and Liu Dong watching, Hou Zhen could only let the person in. "What is it?"

"Reporting, sir!" The officer who entered failed to notice Hou Zhen's warning look and immediately said, "I've found the information on the person you asked me to look for. His name is Yang Wu. He's an advanced student at the Extreme Martial Arts Hall in Yangzhou City, and he only passed the Quasi-Warrior Assessment last month!"

"Old Hou?" Hearing the officer mention the Extreme Martial Arts Hall, Zhuge Tao was instantly on guard. He asked, "Did he just say Yang Wu from our Extreme Martial Arts Hall?"

Zhuge Tao didn't even know who Yang Wu was yet, but that didn't stop him from claiming Yang Wu for the Extreme Martial Arts Hall.

"Well..." Hou Zhen hesitated, unsure whether he should tell them what had actually happened.

"Heh!"

Just then, Wang Heng of the Thunder Dojo chuckled. "Zhuge, Yang Wu was just a student at your Extreme Martial Arts Hall. He never signed a contract with you, so how does that make him one of your people?"

"Old Wang!" Zhuge Tao had no idea what had happened, but if Wang Heng was against something, he was certainly going to stand his ground. "Yang Wu studied at my Extreme Martial Arts Hall, so of course he's one of ours. What's there to argue about?"

Liu Dong looked puzzled. He turned to Hou Zhen and asked, "Old Hou, what's the story with this Yang Wu? Does it have something to do with the monsters that were just brought in?"

Hou Zhen knew that once Yang Wu was brought here, Zhuge Tao and Liu Dong would find out anyway, so he decided to tell them the whole truth.

"What? War General Level strength? How is that possible?" Zhuge Tao and Liu Dong were both stunned.

As major figures representing their respective factions in Jiangnan Base City, they had seen plenty of geniuses. But they had never even heard of a genius who could have War General Level strength while taking the Quasi-Warrior Assessment!
