The Empress Universe

The Initial Universe had earned its name because it remained forever in its nascent stage.

That was because its master, the Human Race's Progenitor, had tried to seize the Primal Universe, only to be suppressed by it.

Without the support of the Progenitor's will, the Initial Universe had lost its "vitality" and remained forever in its nascent stage.

This was a good thing, since it gave the Human Race another sacred place to cultivate geniuses.

But in reality, the drawbacks far outweighed the benefits. Without the Progenitor, a Tenth-Order Universe Supreme Being, the Human Race had been brutally suppressed.

Fortunately, Giant Axe Founder had broken through in time and stepped up in their hour of need. Otherwise, the Human Race might have been driven to some remote corner of the universe.

Of course, none of this had anything to do with Cai Yi.

She had imagined it would be wonderful, but the moment she saw the Empress Universe, those hopes were dashed.

The Empress Universe naturally had no laws manifesting in plain sight. After countless years, it had long since passed its nascent stage and become a largely complete, yet still undeveloped, Miniature Universe.

As for directly observing the laws with the naked eye, she could forget about that. The Empress Universe had nothing of the sort...

"Come on, let's go to the Empress Palace first and meet Her Majesty the Tsaritsa."

Because Zerg Mother Empresses had such low "fertility," every newly born Zerg Mother Empress was given a chance to meet the pillar of the Zerg, the Zerg Queen, once they arrived in the Empress Universe.

Of course, they would only be meeting one of her Divine Power Clones, but it was still an extremely great honor.

After all, being able to meet a Universe Supreme Being at Planetary Level was almost completely unheard of in other races!

Isabella flew toward the core region of the Miniature Universe with Evangeline and several other sisters who were escorting newborn Zerg Mother Empresses.

The Empress Palace stood in the core region of the Empress Universe, at the spot closest to the Miniature Universe Origin.

It looked like an ancient, immense palace radiating solemnity. Just one glance inspired awe.

"How magnificent..."

Cai Yi exclaimed.

Evangeline couldn't help smiling at that.

"The Empress Palace is a Peak Supreme Treasure. Well, you might not understand what that means yet. In short, it's a treasure far beyond the reach of me and your mother Isabella."

Using a Peak Palace-type Treasure as her residence? Wasn't that ridiculously extravagant?

Cai Yi was stunned. When she'd seen it, she had thought it was just an ordinary Supreme Treasure. She hadn't expected anything this incredible.

Palace-type, domain-type, and soul-type Supreme Treasures were far rarer than other kinds of Supreme Treasures.

Without a supreme treasure of the strongest level, a Peak Palace-type Treasure was more than enough to give a Universe Supreme Being a suitably imposing presence!

Even Fifth-Order Universe Masters weren't guaranteed to have one of these three types of Peak Supreme Treasures. Take Chaos City Leader, for example—he carried the Top-tier Supreme Treasure River of Thousand Treasures, didn't he?

Instead of returning the Empress Palace to the Race Treasury and letting others have a chance to exchange for it, the Zerg Queen had kept it as her residence in the Empress Universe.

Wasn't she just showing off her wealth?!

No matter how complicated Cai Yi's feelings were, Isabella and Evangeline had already led her into the palace.

They entered a resplendent golden hall. On the dais at the far end sat a peerlessly beautiful woman, reclining on her throne.

Cai Yi stared for a couple of seconds and nearly couldn't look away.

She was simply too beautiful!!!

"We pay our respects to Her Majesty the Tsaritsa."

Isabella, Evangeline, and the other Zerg Mother Empresses bowed slightly to the Zerg Queen.

Among the Zerg, Zerg Mother Empresses below the Universe Master level addressed one another as sisters. Those at the Universe Master level and above had to be addressed with honorific titles.

"Excellent. Our race has gained three new members."

The Zerg Queen's dreamlike voice rang out, tinged with a bewitching allure that left everyone entranced.

"Isabella, Evangeline, what is your child's name?"

"Your Majesty, her name is Cai Yi."

"Cai Yi? A lovely name."

The Zerg Queen looked at Cai Yi with an inscrutable expression.

The other newborn Mother Empresses were still unable to tear their eyes away from her beauty, but after a couple of glances, Cai Yi didn't dare look any longer.

Such a peculiar exception naturally caught the Zerg Queen's attention.

But she only gave Cai Yi one extra glance. Cai Yi was still young, and had yet to display any talent in either the laws or actual combat. She wasn't worth investing in heavily just yet.

The Zerg Queen then asked the other newborn Mother Empresses their names one by one.

When they entered the Empress Palace, it had already been confirmed that none of them had been seized or enslaved. So the Zerg Queen granted them admission to the Mother Emperor Palace, then sent them on their way.

"Mom, what is the Mother Emperor Palace?"

Cai Yi looked at Isabella and asked.

Another palace? Could it be a Peak Supreme Treasure Palace too? The Zerg were ridiculously extravagant!

"The Mother Emperor Palace was the Zerg Queen's old nest. After she acquired a Supreme Treasure Palace, she kept it as a school for the next generation of our race. All the resources you need to grow are inside."

Isabella explained.

Put simply, the Mother Emperor Palace was like the Human Race's sacred place, Chaos City, and contained a legacy similar to the Chaos Stele.

On top of that, treasures that could improve Gene Level, such as Xueluo Crystals, were piled inside. As long as they passed the tests, they could obtain them. Unlike members of the Human Race, they didn't have to go through trials to earn them.

The reason was simple: once a Zerg Mother Empress grew up, she could easily outclass the vast majority of the Human Race!

A World Lord-level Zerg Mother Empress with enough resources could kill a Marquis Immortal with a surprise attack using her insect army.

A million-strong Royal Zerg Legion would give even a King Level a headache...

And in a head-on fight, a Zerg Mother Empress could also trade blows with a Marquis Immortal. Although most couldn't win, most could still escape.

Irina was an unfortunate exception...

When a Zerg Mother Empress broke through to immortality, she immediately reached Peak King. With a little more time to consolidate her strength, she could reach the King Level limit. Becoming an Invincible King required only a bit of luck.

So before reaching the World Lord level, Zerg Mother Empresses focused on cultivating in safety. They had no need to go out and gain experience.

Soon, they arrived at the Mother Emperor Palace.

The Mother Emperor Palace was much larger than the Empress Palace, but from Isabella's explanation, it was only a Top-Tier Heavy Treasure. It was simply enormous.

The palace was divided into many areas. The place Cai Yi and the others were headed to now was the Enlightenment Zone.

The Enlightenment Zone taught the next generation of the Zerg how to use their Innate Secret Techniques, comprehend domains, and grasp the basics of the laws.

It was specifically designed for newly born Zerg Mother Empresses.

When Cai Yi and the others arrived, only two Zerg Mother Empresses, each about three or four meters tall, were in the Enlightenment Zone.

The one teaching them about the Zerg was a Zerg.

Well, not a Mother Empress!

It was a Zerg Warrior created by a Mother Empress that had unexpectedly developed its own mind.

Mother Empresses welcomed Zerg like this. After all, they were their creations and naturally felt a sense of goodwill toward their creators.

Of course, that wasn't the most important thing. The most important thing was that they couldn't reproduce!

The race could only grow by relying on the luck of the Zerg Mother Empresses. This left them dependent on the Zerg Mother Empresses, making them a branch of the Zerg.

"Honored Mother Empresses, are these new members joining us?"

The ferocious-looking Zerg split its mouth in a grin as it spoke.

Its appearance was terrifying. Cai Yi buried her face in Isabella's arms.

"Yes, Taras. We'll leave them in your care."

Isabella set Cai Yi down and gave her a few instructions. Then she left with Evangeline and the other Mother Empresses.

"Honored Mother Empresses, find a seat. I'll explain the different types of Zerg Warriors to you in a moment."

Taras said with a grin.
