After a long month, the Intelligent Life Monad had finished gathering information. Everyone aboard the ship stared fixedly at the main control screen, not even daring to breathe for fear of hearing bad news!
"Go ahead, Monad," Captain Aifu said. For once, he sounded nervous. He was afraid, too. Feng Yunruo had been a top genius three thousand years ago. It was impossible to imagine how powerful he might have become by now!
"The gathered information indicates that after comprehending the laws, Feng Yunruo established a centralized state on this planet called the 'Feng Kingdom.' Afterward, he vanished without a trace and never appeared again. Our initial estimate puts the likelihood of him having entered the universe at 90%, of his having been assassinated at 8%, and of other outcomes at 2%."
The Intelligent Life recited the information without a hint of emotion, also listing each of the possible outcomes it had calculated.
Hearing Monad's analysis, Captain Aifu breathed a sigh of relief. There was a super-genius on this planet, but it seemed he had left for the universe long ago. That meant their group was at least in no immediate danger.
After thinking it over for about half an hour, Captain Aifu ultimately let his greed for this unclaimed inhabited planet overcome his apprehension about the genius.
"Tch, worst comes to worst, we can just sell the planet and cash out. The universe is vast. Even if he really does come back, how's he going to find one adventurer like me? Heh, that's assuming the worst! A genius is nothing before he turns his talent into actual strength!"
Aifu spoke with a vicious edge. In his view, fearing a genius whose whereabouts were unknown—and who might even be dead—was incredibly foolish. Once they crushed the natives on this planet, they could simply notify a slave trader and sell it. Even if the genius did come back, so what? Could he find Aifu in the boundless universe?
Having made up his mind to act, Aifu called over his crewman Tuka. Tuka was second-in-command of the adventuring party, and the only one stronger than him was Captain Aifu. He was a Stellar Level Nine adventurer!
"Lead the team and bring me every Stellar Level fighter on this planet! But don't make a scene or expose our identities. Understood?" Aifu ordered Tuka, considering his words carefully.
Tuka nodded in agreement, but could no longer contain his excitement. He turned to the crew behind him, his face alight with exhilaration.
"First squad, move out with me!" Then he turned and flew out of the ship first.
At Tuka's command, five Stellar Level crewmen immediately flew after him.
The six Stellar Level powerhouses, guided by the Intelligent Life Monad, flew toward the Feng Kingdom's capital, Anping City!
The spaceship hovered about three thousand meters above the Lu Family residence.
"What a backward civilization. We've parked our ship right here, and they still can't detect it," the bald man in Black Battle Armor said smugly.
"One of the three strongest Stellar Level fighters is here, right? Hmph. In the universe, a Stellar Level fighter can barely scrape by." The silver-armored warrior sneered. He was one of the six Stellar Level fighters in the first squad, and its second strongest.
The two had been assigned to capture the lone Stellar Level fighter at the Lu Clan residence, while the other four headed straight for the royal family.
Through the virtual exterior display, the silver-armored warrior Buluo gazed down at the ground, brimming with confidence. He laughed. "Everyone, once we've wrapped up this job on Yuan Planet, we'll be set for life. Come on... Let's go meet the local Stellar Level fighter below. We'll show this native powerhouse what a real expert from the universe looks like!"
"Hahaha..."
"Let's have some fun with these natives."
"Ha ha." Both men were feeling rather pleased with themselves.
When facing native planets that had yet to join the universe, they naturally felt superior. They considered themselves civilized, and the people before them mere native humans. What happened when a group of self-proclaimed civilized devils got their hands on immense power was already a foregone conclusion!
"Kid Lu, your first trial is here." Lord Shen spoke to Lu Yan'an from his shoulder.
Lu Yan'an had been meditating in his room when Lord Shen's words jolted him. He hurried out. The next instant, three powerful auras erupted from the Lu Family's rear compound! Sensing trouble, he rushed toward the back courtyard.
In the back courtyard, Lu Zhong and his son Lu Kunwu were working together against a bald warrior in Black Battle Armor. Nearby, a cold-faced warrior in Silver Battle Suit watched impassively.
When the warrior in Silver Battle Suit saw Lu Yan'an arrive, his eyes lit up. He signaled the black-armored warrior, who stopped playing around and casually struck backhanded. Lu Zhong was sent flying. He took two quick steps to bleed off the force and barely managed to stay upright. The bald warrior then pushed off with both legs and instantly appeared in front of Lu Kunwu, punching him in the face. Lu Kunwu couldn't defend himself, so he could only cover his head with both arms and brace for the blow!
Lu Yan'an charged in and took the punch for his big brother. Feeling the force behind it, he flashed with killing intent. If that blow had landed on his brother, Lu Kunwu's frail Planetary Level Nine body would have been seriously injured at the very least!
The black-armored warrior didn't press the attack. Once Lu Yan'an blocked his strike, he swiftly withdrew and returned to the silver-armored warrior.
The two men slowly rose into the air and looked down. The silver-armored leader spoke in an unhurried voice. "From now on, you're my slaves. I'm Buluo, a powerhouse from the universe." His arrogant voice echoed throughout the Lu Family residence, making Lu Yan'an roll his eyes.
In midair, Buluo lifted his chin slightly, looking down at the three natives with pity. He had completely forgotten Aifu's instruction to keep a low profile.
Lu Yan'an couldn't understand what made him so confident. Was it just that one of them was a Stellar Level Eight and the other a Stellar Level Six?
If he couldn't figure it out, there was no point dwelling on it. Lu Yan'an struck back with Huo Shen.
The two uninvited guests' expressions changed dramatically when they saw Lu Yan'an make his move. "He's actually a Stellar Level Nine! I—" Before they could finish speaking, an illusion engulfed them, and they lost consciousness.
"Kid Lu, there are a few things I need to reiterate!" After the fight, Lord Shen flew down from Lu Yan'an's shoulder and spoke with a serious expression.
"This is a trial for Yuan Planet, and I'm the 'guardian' your teacher left behind for you, not your babysitter! Don't expect me to step in and solve this problem for you. That's the first thing. You must protect your family with your own strength. That's the second. I'll only intervene if you face something you can't overcome."
Lord Shen was blunt. He wasn't responsible for anyone but Lu Yan'an, not even Lu Yan'an's friends and family. Lu Yan'an listened and nodded gravely to show that he understood.

"This adventuring party from the universe is fairly strong. The captain is a Universe Level Nine fighter. Of the other fourteen members, only two are Planetary Level Nine crewmen; the rest are all Stellar Level. Their goal is to destroy every Stellar Level fighter on your planet!"
Lord Shen had seen through the party's strength as soon as they arrived. He had simply left them alone because they still had their uses.
"What you need to consider now is how to break this deadlock!"
Lu Yan'an understood that he might be able to resolve this problem by himself, but he was worried the other side would simply call in reinforcements without a care. Moreover, under the laws of the universe, Yuan Planet currently had no lord, so there was no way to use that to restrain the forces behind the adventuring party. The thought gave him a headache.
"Alas, I can only take things one step at a time," Lu Yan'an said helplessly. Even with his experience of overcoming a thousand different life predicaments, he couldn't see a way to resolve the trouble without leaving future consequences.
