As he passed Oscar's grill cart, Dai Mubai shot him a vicious glare, seemingly looking to vent his anger:
"Oscar, stop embarrassing the academy. I'm warning you, don't sell sausages in the academy again!"
Oscar clearly couldn't afford to provoke Dai Mubai.
The moment he saw him, his face fell, and he gave an awkward smile:
"Boss Dai, do you have to be so harsh? I'm just selling a few grilled sausages to cover my living expenses. I haven't done anything to you."
He had no choice. Food made by food-type Spirit Masters could usually only be eaten by Spirit Masters. Ordinary people couldn't eat it, since their bodies couldn't withstand the Soul Power it contained.
Everyone at the academy was a Spirit Master. If he couldn't sell them here, where else could he go?
Today happened to be Shrek Academy's enrollment day, so there were plenty of people around. If he didn't sell now, when was he supposed to?
He wasn't a rich young master like Dai Mubai, who never had to worry about food or clothing and still had plenty of spare money to chase women every day.
If he didn't sell grilled sausages, how was an orphan like him supposed to put food on the table?
The academy did provide him with food, but its funds were tight these days. The meals were extremely simple and could hardly provide the nutrition he needed as a Spirit Master.
So he could only rely on himself, selling grilled sausages to earn a little money for living expenses.
Dai Mubai was left somewhat speechless. He snorted coldly:
"Anyway, don't let me catch you selling grilled sausages in the academy, or don't blame me for getting rough with you."
Oscar immediately shrank back, a trace of fear appearing on his face.
