Ye Ye felt Spirit City was even more majestic and imposing than Heaven Dou City. There were very few guards here—that was Spirit City's confidence. With Spirit Hall's might, no one dared cause trouble in Spirit City.
After entering Spirit City, he saw people coming and going. At a glance, Ye Ye could tell they were all Soul Masters. Their average cultivation was only around level twenty, but the sheer number of them was still a spectacular sight. Nowhere else on Douluo Continent had so many Soul Masters. Spirit Hall truly was a paradise for Soul Masters.

Ye Ye said nothing. He took out a card loaded with Gold Soul Coins. It was a gold card, and each one could hold up to 100 million Gold Soul Coins. Ye Ye had ten of them.
The guard recognized the card and bowed. "Please forgive the offense. Come in."
Ye Ye entered the auction house and spent 100,000 Gold Soul Coins to get a VIP pass. The attendant gave him a golden mask and led him to a private room. From inside, he could see the auction hall, but no one outside could see in.
Ye Ye glanced around. There were several other private rooms nearby, probably occupied by other VIPs.

Then Ye Ye left. He found a hotel that was still quite "proper," booked a luxurious suite, and went back out.
Ye Ye headed down a small street to find somewhere to eat. It had been a long time since he'd had a big meal.
Ye Ye found a place called "Authentic Star Luo City Beef Ramen."
Ye Ye asked, "Is yours really authentic Star Luo (spoken in a Shandong accent)?"
The owner replied in a thoroughly authentic Heaven Dou Empire (spoken in a Cantonese accent) voice, "Of course it is!"

Ye Ye said, "Give me a large bowl."
The owner brought over a bowl as big as a head and asked, "Will this do?"
Ye Ye said, "No, bigger."
The owner brought out a basin and asked, "How about this?"
Ye Ye said, "No! Is this really the biggest bowl you have?"
The owner got angry too. "You can insult me, but you can't insult my bowls! (▼皿▼#)"
As he spoke, he brought out a family heirloom bowl one meter wide and fifty centimeters tall.
Ye Ye said, "That's more like it! And don't skimp on the beef. Throw a whole cow in there for me."
The owner said, "Sure."
Half an hour later, the noodles arrived. They were so enormous that the owner had pushed four tables together to make one. Ye Ye looked at the huge pile of noodles and the beef chunks as big as heads, then dug in.
When the other customers saw it, they couldn't help exclaiming, "Holy crap!" The owner had actually brought out his family's heirloom bowl.
They all waited to see how Ye Ye would do. Could he finish it? Ye Ye didn't disappoint them. He not only finished it, but still wasn't full, so he ordered another bowl.
Ye Ye ate three full bowls before he was satisfied. Everyone around him was stunned. How could someone eat that many noodles?
Ye Ye paid 100 Gold Soul Coins and left.
After his meal, Ye Ye went out for a stroll. He came to a place called the "Martial Soul Hall Soul Fighting Arena." He decided to go in and get a fight in to help digest his meal.
Ye Ye paid 10 Gold Soul Coins and registered for a badge under the name "Titan King Godzilla." After registering, he received an iron badge. The badge ranks were iron, bronze, silver, gold, purple gold, sapphire, ruby, and diamond. Each victory added one point, and each loss removed one point. If you kept winning, each successive victory was worth one more point. In other words, you got one point for the first win, two for a second consecutive win, and three for a third. If you lost a match, the count started over at one point.
Once you reached 100 points, you could rank up one badge. Ye Ye signed up for a death match, where the winner would be decided—and someone might die.
When "Titan King Godzilla" was called, Ye Ye stepped into the arena. Some of the spectators who had bet on him began shouting his name: "Godzilla! Godzilla! Godzilla!"
But when Ye Ye's opponent came out, the cheering for him far surpassed Ye Ye's. "Tang Sanzang! Tang Sanzang! Tang Sanzang!"
Ye Ye said, "What's the deal? You killed Sun Xingzhe, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujin, and now Tang Sanzang's here. You brothers are all back together."
When his opponent came out, Ye Ye got a clear look at him. He was very strong and handsome, wore a kasaya, and had a constant smile at the corners of his mouth. He looked exactly like a protagonist.
Tang Sanzang's background:
Tang Sanzang was from Blue Star. When he discovered he'd transmigrated to Douluo Continent, he was thrilled, thinking he was the protagonist.

The spectators nearby were stunned. Tang Sanzang was stunned too. He hadn't expected Ye Ye's muscles to be even more developed than his own, and Ye Ye even had a Demon Back. Still, he wasn't afraid. He believed in himself—and even if he was afraid, there was nothing he could do, because this was a death match.
Tang Sanzang charged at Ye Ye and punched him straight in the face. Ye Ye caught his fist in one hand. Tang Sanzang's chant was powerful, but he was still two lines short, so his strength wasn't all that great.
When Tang Sanzang realized his fist had been caught, he tried to trip Ye Ye with his leg. Ye Ye blocked him with his foot, then punched him. Tang Sanzang raised his other arm to defend himself. Ye Ye's fist struck his arm, forcing him two steps back. Ye Ye hadn't expected him to block that punch. He'd used all his strength.
Tang Sanzang charged again and kicked at Ye Ye. Ye Ye blocked the kick with his arm, then kicked Tang Sanzang. The blow struck Tang Sanzang's thigh, throwing him off balance and making him pitch forward.
Ye Ye followed up with another punch, but Tang Sanzang punched him at the same time. Neither blocked. They both hit their target, but neither backed away. They kept trading punches, one after another, without blocking or dodging.
And so they kept fighting.
The spectators were stunned. First, they hadn't expected Ye Ye to be so strong, evenly matched with Tang Sanzang. Second, they hadn't expected their battle to be so intense.
Ye Ye said, "Third Soul Skill: Berserk!"
Ye Ye activated Berserk, making his attacks faster and more powerful.
Seeing Ye Ye suddenly grow fierce, Tang Sanzang attacked him like a madman.
After a long while, they were both bleeding, and their movements had slowed. Veins bulged all over their bodies.
After a few more exchanges, Ye Ye suddenly put all his strength into one punch. It knocked Tang Sanzang to the ground. Ye Ye rushed over, kicked him several meters away, then pinned him down and continued striking his head until Tang Sanzang stopped breathing.
And so the once-in-a-generation genius Tang Sanzang died!
When Ye Ye won, the whole arena erupted in cheers. "Titan King! Titan King! Godzilla! Godzilla! Ye Ye! Ye Ye!"
Ye Ye left the Soul Fighting Arena and returned to the hotel to wash up. He hadn't expected Tang Sanzang to be so fierce.
What Ye Ye didn't know was that spectators had spread word of his battle throughout Spirit City. He also didn't know that Tang Sanzang had Spirit Hall backing him—or that Spirit Hall had already set its sights on Ye Ye.
